Group lunch seats at a Songdo chicken kalguksu restaurant: Eonyang
In short
Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch is a chicken-only kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) restaurant with house-made noodles on Haedoji-ro in Songdo, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. On a chilly weekday lunch in early October, the writer's first visit, the chicken kalguksu (₩11,000, with half a chicken) came with spicy kimchi from the self-serve bar, and even just after 11am the restaurant was busy, with reserved-seat signs on tables throughout. With its nutty perilla broth and chewy noodles, Eonyang Dak Kalguksu is an easy, comforting lunch pick in Songdo.

I already love chicken kalguksu (hand-cut chicken noodle soup), and there's a great spot for it in Songdo, Incheon, so I went there for lunch. There's so much delicious food in this world, right? Even the same dish can taste completely different depending on who makes it. Let me introduce Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch (언양닭칼국수 인천송도점), famous for its rich, savory broth :-)
Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Songdo: location, hours and parking
Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch is on the 1st floor at 160-15 Haedoji-ro, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, and is open daily 11:00–21:00 (last order 20:30). Parking is available.

We've arrived! There's a dedicated parking lot, but lots of people park along the road too. The building's lot is available, so if you want to play it safe, I'd recommend using that.

The main menu is posted at the entrance, and every dish looks like a proper energy boost. It must be packed on bokнal days (the hottest days of summer, when Koreans eat chicken soup for stamina).

So many choices, I couldn't decide! I came planning on the basic of basics, chicken kalguksu, but I wanted to try the dak-gomtang (chicken soup) too.
Do you need a reservation for a weekday lunch at Eonyang Dak Kalguksu in Songdo?
Even a little past 11am on a weekday, quite a few customers were already there for a meal. And that's before the real lunch rush..!! 12 to 1 must be absolutely hectic.

It's popular, so booking ahead means you can eat at lunchtime without worry. I saw reserved-seat signs on tables all around. It's a good place for groups of people who work nearby.

As you'd expect from a restaurant built around chicken, every single item on the menu is chicken~ If you love chicken, you'll have fun working your way through the whole menu here.
Table setting and kimchi self-bar
Each table is neatly set with paper cups, small plates, a trash bin, salt, pepper and tissues.

Side dishes are self-serve. At the self-bar there are two kinds of kimchi, spicy and less spicy, so take whichever suits your taste.

House-made noodles and takeout options
The noodles are made in-house, which makes everything so much tastier. You can trust this place :)
Takeout is available too, and they prepare the noodles in 3 different ways to suit your preference. The kimchi comes in two kinds as well, so pick the one you want! If I were nearby and eating right away, I'd choose noodle option 2 and kimchi option 1.
Eonyang Dak Kalguksu menu and table ordering
The menu is neatly laid out on the wall so you can see what's available at a glance.

You order with the machine on the table, and it has pictures too, which makes browsing easy.
Songdo chicken kalguksu for ₩11,000: how did it taste?
First, the two kinds of kimchi I brought from the self-bar! I eat a lot of kimchi with chicken kalguksu, so I piled it on :) I'm someone who loves spicy food, so the spicy kimchi was much tastier to me.

Chicken kalguksu with half a chicken, ₩11,000
Eonyang's popular chicken kalguksu (₩11,000) comes with half a chicken in the noodles. The chicken kalguksu I'd been waiting and waiting for, for a bit of body-nourishing, has arrived! It turned chilly as soon as October began, so I warmed up with the hot broth first.

It's already seasoned, but you can add a bit more pepper if you like.

I had the broth before properly digging in, and the nutty perilla aroma is superb. It's rich and warm and really delicious. The house-made noodles need no words. They're chewy and go so well with the broth, and with spicy kimchi it's the perfect pairing. Chicken kalguksu is love.

With half a chicken in the bowl, it's quite filling too. I dipped the meat in salt and pepper and enjoyed it~ Chicken is delicious whenever you eat it. As the weather gets cooler you crave warm food, so how about a comforting bowl of chicken kalguksu? I had a really delicious meal at Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch, my first visit.
