Songdo outlet café with Mom: hot latte & hojicha mix, Wunder Coffee

Today's story is about Wunder Coffee Bar at the Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo, a place with a reputation as a great coffee spot in Songdo. I was shopping at the outlet, went looking for a café to rest for a bit, and ended up here~

Wunder Gato, I just couldn't walk past it, haha.

Where is Wunder Coffee Bar in the Songdo outlet?

Wunder Coffee Bar Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch (분더커피바 현대프리미엄아울렛 송도점) is in the basement 1 food square of the outlet, at 123 Songdogukje-daero, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, South Korea. Go a little further from the grocery market in the food hall toward the Food Avenue and you'll find it easily!!

What did I pick from the Wunder Coffee Bar menu?

The menu had plenty of variety, but I went straight for the signature, the Wunder Gato, no hesitation. You can even choose the ice cream flavor that goes into the affogato (coffee poured over ice cream), which I liked even more! ☕️🍨

I hear the cream latte is amazing too, so Wunder Coffee is next!!!!

There are set menus too, and the prices looked really good!!!

How was the hojicha and vanilla mix Wunder Gato?

This day I ordered a Wunder Gato (mix) and a café latte (hot). Wunder Gato and café latte, yes!!!

One look at the amount of ice cream and I was already satisfied, lol. The shop's tip for enjoying Wunder Gato: "Taste the ice cream first, mix it well, then enjoy it with a straw."

The ice cream inside the Wunder Gato comes in hojicha, vanilla, or a hojicha + vanilla mix. I wanted to try both, so I picked the mix without a second thought, haha.

Is there seating at Wunder Coffee Bar Songdo?

There's no seating inside the shop, but there are lots of shared tables right nearby, so taking your order out and eating there was easy! ☕️

It was my first time trying hojicha ice cream, and the nutty, subtle flavor of roasted tea leaves went really well with the coffee. Add the soft sweetness of vanilla and the combination was so good!!!! The ice cream melts and blends naturally into the coffee, which was delicious too. At first I spooned up the ice cream little by little, then later ate it together with the coffee, and that was my favorite way to have it! ☕️🍨

What is hojicha?

Some of you might not be familiar with hojicha, so! Simply put, hojicha is tea made by roasting green tea leaves or stems at high heat. That's why it's less astringent than regular green tea, with a toasty, nutty flavor-!!!

Me, I'm all about hojicha, hoho hojicha!!!!! Total fan 🤎 Honestly I don't think anyone could dislike hojicha!!! No, nobody does. Period. Because it's nutty and sooo yummy!! T_T I'm going back for a hojicha ice cream cone... Hojicha ice cream is super famous in Japan, right? If you love hojicha, you can skip Japan and go to Songhyeon-a instead 🫶🏻 (Songhyeon-a is the Korean nickname for the Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo.)

How was the hot café latte at Wunder Coffee Bar?

The milk foam on the hot café latte was amazing!!! It's fluffy yet super smooth, and the way it glides softly through your mouth with each sip is just so nice!!!

Mom said she wanted a latte, so I ordered one... but after one sip myself I loved it and kept stealing it, lol. You can really taste the rich, smooth milk, and it blends well with the coffee, the kind of latte café latte fans would love. The staff were kind, and the drinks came out quickly, so I was happy 👍🏻

Is it a good café to stop by after shopping at the Songdo outlet?

Wunder Coffee Bar is a well-known café in Songdo, and since it's inside the Hyundai Premium Outlet, it's the perfect spot for a coffee after shopping! I plan to visit again, so if you haven't been yet, definitely stop by! Actually, everything's delicious, so just save it and go try it 💕
