Looking for a proper solo meal near Seocho Station
I wanted a real meal on my own near Seocho Station and Gyodae Station, so I went to Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch (데일리픽스 서초교대점), a handmade burger place. Figuring out lunch or dinner these days is honestly a headache. I keep getting by on convenience store food or quick, salty instant stuff, and then my stomach feels off and I feel kind of empty inside..

I didn't just want to fill my stomach. I needed time to quietly enjoy a proper dish made just for me.

In the middle of a busy day, I wanted to stop for a moment, eat something hearty and well made, and enjoy a little breathing room!!! I went looking for somewhere I could enjoy good food alone without any pressure, spotted this handmade burger place, and went~

What is the atmosphere at Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch?
Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch is a burger place with a stylish interior like an American diner, and it's easy to eat alone there. The burgers are built on a cooking philosophy learned at a Michelin-starred New York diner, and the place is rumored to be a burger spot introduced by the famous food YouTuber Tzuyang, so I went with high expectations.
It's not far from the subway station, so it's easy to reach. Inside, the sleek, trendy interior made me feel like I'd walked into a hip diner in the US.
Everything was clean, tidy and pleasant, with a subtle hip energy, so my mood was up even before the meal.
With the stylish lighting and comfortable seating, I think it would also be good for a date or a get-together with friends! For solo diners like me doing the Gyodae solo-meal route, it's a relaxed place to stay without feeling watched.

What did I order at Daily Fix?
For my solo meal I upgraded the hanwoo (Korean beef) patty double cheeseburger to a pretzel bun and picked fried eggplant and veggie sticks as sides. As I sat down and read the menu, their distinct cooking philosophy came through in every sentence. They prepare their ingredients believing a burger isn't fast food to wolf down, but a dish made with care.

After some thought, I wanted to taste the rich meaty aroma of the hanwoo patty, so I chose the double cheeseburger and upgraded the bun to pretzel.

For sides, I smartly combined the thick fried eggplant everyone raves about with crunchy, refreshing veggie sticks. After a short wait, the table filled up with food, and I gasped the moment I saw it.

How is the pretzel-bun double cheeseburger?
What stood out in the Daily Fix double cheeseburger was the nutty aroma of the pretzel bun (+₩1,000) and the juiciness of the 300g hanwoo patty. I reached first for the double cheeseburger, which had a truly one-of-a-kind look.

The pretzel bun, swapped in for ₩1,000 extra over the standard bun, stood out from its golden-brown color, and its nutty, subtle aroma was charming. They've reinterpreted the pretzel's own flavor and soft texture as a burger bun, and it's really delicious.

Maybe because there's a whole 300g hanwoo patty between the buns, juice flooded my mouth the moment I took a bite.
Like the essence of a classic American style, the heavy burst of meaty aroma and the salty balance of melted cheese were fantastic.

The savoriness of the patty and the chewy bun blended smoothly, and I had to admit right away why it gets mentioned as a Korea Burger Championship shop~~!!

How were the fried eggplant and veggie sticks?
The Daily Fix fried eggplant was crispy outside and tender inside, and the celery-based green mayo sauce cut through the richness. Next I tried the fried eggplant side: thick-cut eggplant fried to textbook crispy-outside, moist-inside, and the crunch with every bite was just wow!!!
The inside was juicy and soft, and the celery-based green mayo sauce was a stroke of genius. The fragrant, fresh green mayo gently balances the fried food, which could otherwise get greasy, so you never get tired of it.

The veggie sticks I ate in between were freshness itself. Crisp, refreshing celery and carrot sticks came out fresh and left my mouth clean and tidy.

Other sides like chili cheese fries seem popular too, so I'll have to try those next time.

Is there happy hour, and are dogs allowed?
Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch advertised a happy hour from 5 to 7 PM with Stella draft beer 1+1. They say that once the sun sets and the lights go low, it turns into a moody bar, and I felt it would make a great hideout for a solo drink in Gyodae with a highball or whisky.

I heard dogs are allowed inside too, so it would be easy to stop by after a walk nearby with your pup. From a light meal to a moody evening, it's a diner that gives you a memorable meal whenever and with whomever you come.
If you want to feel the charm of a truly proper, carefully made handmade burger, I recommend visiting Daily Fix in the Seocho Station restaurant alley!
