The inside of Jeonju House is really spacious, so it looked great for group gatherings or work dinners too!

It's clearly been a well-known Korean restaurant in Yuseong, Daejeon for a long time, because it was packed. I snapped this quick shot when it emptied out for a moment!

This place's signature is, without a doubt, golden-brown pork belly grilled on a huge cast-iron lid, paired with deep, spicy kimchi stew and freshly made pot rice — an amazing combo.

I ordered the galbi kimchi stew (2 servings, ₩15,000) and egg roll (₩10,000)~ It comes with cast-iron pot rice 💗

Well-known Korean restaurant spot in Yuseong, Daejeon — the seaweed salad and bean sprouts were so good

There's also green onion salad and a side salad haha

So neat and tidy.

There's also tofu at the self-serve bar to add to your kimchi stew at Jeonju House. This tofu is a real treasure.

The fist-sized egg roll at Jeonju House

The huge, huge, huge egg roll that came out first — this Bongmyeong-dong spot is amazing.

It's the biggest egg roll I've ever seen!

A total protein block 💛💛💛 You can really feel the ajumma's homemade touch~

One chunk is the size of my fist lol. Seriously, dip it in ketchup and you'll polish off a whole bowl of rice!

Galbi kimchi stew with a whole block of aged kimchi

Ta-da, another generous portion — the galbi kimchi stew!

Dun dun dun. There's a whole block of aged kimchi (묵은지, deeply fermented kimchi) sitting inside, unsliced!!!!

As soon as I sat down and the stew arrived, the bubbling sound and the deep, spicy kimchi aroma hit me right in the nose haha

A go-to kimchi stew spot in Daejeon, a well-known Korean restaurant spot in Yuseong. It tastes even better if you let it simmer a bit longer.

There are several chunks of galbi (short rib) in there too, so you get a generous amount haha

It wasn't that flat MSG taste at all — it was a rich, clean broth from long simmering!

There's so much kimchi and meat that I felt like my stomach would burst, seriously ㅠㅠ

Putting kimchi and egg roll over rice knocked me out~~~ Truly the taste of a clean, authentic kimchi stew.

And they added more tofu too!

The kimchi itself is so tasty that the rice just slides right down haha

After one spoonful of the rich, spicy broth loaded with meat and kimchi, I thought, 'Ah, this place is the real deal' haha

The tofu was soft too, right up my alley.

A place anyone would call delicious, no matter who you bring haha

Is Jeonju House worth a visit?

The hot, freshly cooked pot rice was such a rice thief haha. Finishing off with rice-crust tea after the meal left me full and refreshed at the same time!! I'm planning to come back with my parents next time~~~
