Jeju pizza restaurant with chewy handmade dough: Happiness Pizza

Craving pizza during a trip to Jeju

I came to Jeju and, instead of black pork or seafood, I strangely found myself craving pizza 😂 So I visited Happiness Pizza (해피니스피자), which looked like a good pizza spot in Sinjeju near Jeju Airport :) It is right across from Jeju Halla University, so I thought it would also be useful for anyone looking for lunch near the university.

Which pizzas did I order?

As I looked through the menu while searching for a good pizza place in Jeju, there were more varieties than I expected, so I spent quite a while deciding. From sweet potato cream pizza and loaded pepperoni pizza to black pork bulgogi pizza, it was hard to choose.

In the end, I chose a half-and-half pizza! My combination this time was 🍕 black pork bulgogi pizza 🍕 Happy Combination pizza. Since I was in Jeju, I felt I had to try the black pork bulgogi pizza, but I could not give up a classic combination either, so I ordered half-and-half to enjoy both at once!

It was piled high with bulgogi toppings, so it will be right up the alley of anyone who loves meat!

Maybe because I was eating pizza in Jeju, the black pork bulgogi topping somehow felt even more welcome, haha.

Happy Combination pizza too

The Happy Combination pizza on the other side had an even spread of different toppings, so each slice felt like it had a slightly different flavor. Alternating between the two definitely made it less repetitive, which was nice.

The chewy handmade dough is delicious

Personally, what I really liked was the texture of the dough. It is handmade dough, and it was deliciously chewy without being overly thick or dry. Toppings matter on pizza too, but if the crust is too heavy, you get full after just a few slices, right? Here, the dough was on the chewy side, so it went well with the toppings! Before I knew it, I had eaten almost the whole pizza...😂

I ordered a salad as well

Pizza alone can get a little rich, so I ordered a salad too. It was more generous than I expected, with fresh vegetables, cherry tomatoes, black olives, and bacon on top~ The vegetables were crisp and the overall flavor was fresh, so it went nicely with the pizza :)

If you are looking for lunch near Jeju Halla University

Happiness Pizza is on the first floor at 47 Nohyeong 2-gil, Jeju-si, Jeju. It is near Jeju Airport, behind Tamra Library and across from Jeju Halla University, so it was not difficult to find. If you are deciding what to have for lunch near Jeju Halla University, pizza seems like a good option too.

Hours are 11:00–23:00, with last orders at 22:30. The restaurant is on the cozy side, with about five tables.

Where can I park?

🚗 Parking can be a concern around the restaurant, but you can use the paid public parking lot near Tamra Library. The first 30 minutes are free, then charges apply. If it is full, there is also said to be a public parking lot toward Nohyeong Fire Station, so keep that in mind.
