Game café at Sillim Station with curtained PS & Switch rooms: Oneplay
In short
Oneplay Sillim is a multi-activity game café near Sillim Station Exit 3 in Gwanak, Seoul, offering PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, OTT streaming, board games and manga in one place. The writer and a friend used the ₩10,000 weekday unlimited deal, playing PlayStation games like Overcooked and Nintendo Switch in a curtained room before moving on to board games and manga. Each popular game has only one chip, so expect some waiting, but Oneplay Sillim is a great place to spend a whole day on an indoor date near Sillim Station.

Where is Oneplay Sillim and how late is it open?
Oneplay Sillim is a 1-minute walk from Sillim Station Exit 3, and it is open every day from 10 a.m. to midnight. With the weather suddenly heating up, I went for a cool indoor date. My friend stumbled on this multi-activity game café and we had a really fun time. Since it is open until midnight, you can play late without a second thought.

Take the elevator up to the 4th floor and you will find shoe racks and indoor slippers right away. Swap your shoes first,

then follow the little bamboo path to a big sofa and table area and the counter.

How did I pay for Oneplay Sillim?
We paid for 2 people with the weekday unlimited ₩10,000 event currently running, and didn't buy any food. If you buy a package, a small extra amount upgrades the package drink, so if you only have a short time and want to make the most of it, a package would be better than the weekday special!

These are the table seats right in front of the counter. People were reading manga and eating here too.

How are the rooms at Oneplay Sillim divided?
At Oneplay Sillim you get instructions at the counter first, then go find your room and sit down. There are 3 kinds of rooms.
- Netflix/Disney+ room
- PlayStation room
- Nintendo room
I came to play PlayStation, so I went straight to the PS room. Lots of people come for PlayStation or Nintendo, so I think seats would run short on weekends ㅠㅠ Luckily I visited on a weekday and there was plenty of room.

How do you order food at Oneplay Sillim?
At the Oneplay Sillim counter, after you are told about game types and time limits, you get a wooden board with a QR code. Scan it and you reach a short guide, board game explanations and the food ordering page.

The food menu was so varied! Much more than other manga cafés, and I almost bought a snack, but we had to go eat after playing, so I held back.

Drinks start with coffee, non-coffee drinks, ades, juice and smoothies, and then there are desserts like cake, ramen, hot dogs, popcorn for movie-watching, rice bowls, fried rice, pizza, sotteok (sausage and rice cake skewers), chicken, Pikachu (a Pikachu-shaped snack), pasta and so on. Basically nothing is missing. You could totally fill up while gaming all day ✨✨

What are the downsides of the PS and Nintendo rooms at Oneplay Sillim?
Oneplay Sillim has only one PlayStation chip per game, so for popular games you have to wait until someone else finishes. After a quick look at the food, we started with Overcooked, the game I always play with friends at PS rooms. Even on a weekday, there was a game I wanted to play but couldn't ㅠ

Nintendo chips are the same, just one per game, so we had to get the timing right! This time the timing worked out, haha
Why the curtained rooms were so comfortable
Since you play in individual curtained rooms at Oneplay Sillim, you don't have to worry about other people, and talking and laughter are muffled just enough, so it was really comfortable. The rooms are big enough to lie down and play, with cushions and a floor table, so you can play in a relaxed position and eat right in the room when you get hungry.

Can you enjoy Oneplay Sillim without knowing board games?
Through the QR code at Oneplay Sillim, every board game has a video explanation, so anyone can play even games they don't know. I focused so hard on gaming that my eyes hurt, lol, so we switched to the next event: board games! They range from simple games anyone can play to deduction games. Don't worry if you don't know board games.

And if you want some quiet fun after board games, head to the manga corner ^_^

Is Oneplay Sillim worth going back to?
There was so much to do at Oneplay Sillim that I lost track of time. With lots to play and a cozy space, it is perfect for teens and adults alike. There were really a lot of students there too!
On the way out, I found a place called "Su's Space" (수의 공간), with big fish, koi maybe?, swimming under a glass floor and a chair and desk in the middle of the room. I don't know what the intention behind it was, but I stayed a good while watching the fish in the dark, atmospheric room, lol.
Right up to the exit I was chasing fun things and never had a moment to be bored. I usually prefer PlayStation games and only ever went to PS rooms, so I was amazed to find a place where you can use all five: Nintendo, manga, OTT, PS and board games. And with the current special of just ₩10,000 for unlimited same-day use, I think I'll be a regular at Oneplay Sillim for a while 😎
