Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch (이어커피로스터스 공덕점) is a café on Baekbeom-ro 24-gil, close to Gongdeok Station and Daeheung Station. I live in Gongdeok-dong, and this was a café right nearby that I had somehow never been to, so I finally visited Ieo Coffee! I'm out and about a lot for work, so I use cafés often, and this day I had some time to kill in between, so I dropped in haha.

Atmosphere at Ieo Coffee in Gongdeok: is it okay for laptop work alone?

Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch has a clean, cozy feel with fairly roomy spacing between seats, so it's nice whether you come alone or with one other person. The tidy, cozy mood hit me the moment I walked in. It feels relaxed overall, so I thought it was great for spending time alone, or for chatting with a friend or partner. The day I went, quite a few people had come alone to work on laptops haha. The interior is small, but the seats are spaced out comfortably, so I could stay without feeling cramped.

Ieo Coffee beans: ground in the shop, and sold in bags too

At Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch, I heard the owner grinds the beans in the shop to make the coffee :) Maybe that's why the whole café was filled with a nutty coffee-bean smell^^ I loved that smell so much~

Menu at Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch

Normally I get my caffeine fix with an iced americano ("aa"), but that day I was craving milk tea! I wanted to try the signature menu, so I ordered the star drink, the basil milk tea, and a Basque cheesecake. The cookies looked really good too, but I picked the cheesecake! Next time I'll try the cookies.

What does the basil milk tea at Ieo Coffee taste like?

The basil milk tea at Ieo Coffee Roasters is smooth, sweet milk tea with a faint hint of basil, so I figured it wouldn't divide people much. Basil and milk tea sounded a little unfamiliar to me, but after one sip I understood why it's the signature drink. It keeps the soft, sweet taste milk tea is known for, with a fragrant basil flavor quietly added on top, and I found it really appealing ><

The basil isn't too strong, so I don't think people would feel split on it, and it has a unique charm that keeps you thinking about it the more you drink. I'd recommend it to milk tea lovers, and also to anyone looking for something different.

Basque cheesecake with basil milk tea: how do they go together?

The Basque cheesecake at Ieo Coffee Roasters had a rich cheese flavor and a moist, dense texture, and I enjoyed it most together with the basil milk tea. It wasn't too sweet, so it was easy to eat, and I think anyone who likes strong cheese flavor would be satisfied. Paired with the basil milk tea, the drink's fragrance and the cheesecake's richness blended nicely, which made it even tastier.

Personally, I liked having the drink and dessert together more than eating them separately. The basil milk tea freshened up my mouth, and the Basque cheesecake added a heavy richness, so the combination was really good. Maybe because they're the two signature items, it felt like each brought out the other's strengths.

Why I recommend Ieo Coffee Roasters as a café near Gongdeok Station

If you're looking for a café near Gongdeok Station, I recommend visiting Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch. The basil milk tea, which you don't come across often, was especially impressive, and the Basque cheesecake I had with it was satisfying too, so this is a place I'd go back to. I recommend this Gongdeok café to anyone who wants a special drink and dessert in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere.
