Getting to Meono Kkameona Daehangno Branch from Hyehwa Station

It is at the intersection with Olive Young and Daiso! It is on the way from Hyehwa Station to Sungkyunkwan University. It is on the second floor of the building with CU. Please keep that in mind when visiting!

You can get one hour of free parking at Asia Parking Lot behind the restaurant! Reservations can be made through Naver Reservation.

Meono Kkameona means “hope” in Nepali. True to its name, they aim to offer everyone who visits delicious food, warm moments, and a meal that brings hope. It is a wonderful restaurant, fitting for a place that has put so much thought into even its name.

A spacious interior for solo diners and groups

It is a roomy space that can accommodate solo diners, pairs, and groups alike. I went late on a weekday evening and got in without waiting! It is clean and spacious, so it is great for going with friends or a date.

As you would expect from an Indian restaurant, there is a photo of the Taj Mahal, too. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. I want to visit India someday.~ (I cannot resist photos like this~~)

How to order with a QR code or NFC

Order by scanning the QR code or tapping via NFC. Just unlock your phone and hold it near the sticker, and the ordering page opens! If that is difficult, you can call over a staff member haha.

Palak paneer, butter chicken curry, and butter naan

My picks were palak paneer, butter chicken curry, and butter naan :) They come out plated so nicely like this. It may not look like much, but it is enough for two people. I find that two curries and three naan are about right for two.

If it is your first time at Meono Kkameona, or your first time trying Indian curry, I recommend the butter chicken curry! It is pleasantly sweet and spicy, a flavor anyone can enjoy. If you already know Indian curry or Meono Kkameona, I recommend the palak paneer! It is a spinach-and-cheese curry, with rich spinach and nutty cheese flavors that go together beautifully. Writing this is making me hungry...

The complimentary side dishes are quite Korean-style. Kimchi, pickled vegetables? And jalapeños. They will give you more if you want!! I did not eat them because I was busy with the curry haha.

The butter naan comes cut into easy-to-eat pieces. It is made fresh right after you order, so delicious. Nom nom—be careful because freshly made food is hot!! They also provide wet wipes, which makes it easy to eat neatly.

This is the view after the sun had gone down. The elephant statue(?) is cute, too. It is a subtly charming little place that has won me over. I hope this place does even better haha.

Four pieces of momo with a Naver review

Ah! There is something I did not mention when I showed you the menu earlier. Naver reviews~~ If you write a review, they give you four pieces of momo, Indian-style dumplings. Food lovers, definitely join in haha.

Personally, this is a favorite restaurant tied to good memories, so I hope it continues to do well! I need to go back again soon.
