Today I'm writing about a gopchang place near Sindang Station that I went to with a friend, and it's the real deal!! (seriously) It's Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Sindang Direct Branch (진성한우곱창 신당직영점). There was quite a wait even on a weekday evening!

Where is Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Sindang, and what's the weekday evening wait like?
Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Sindang Direct Branch is near Exit 7 of Sindang Station. It's close to the subway, so it's an easy place to reach by public transport!
We went on a weekday evening and the wait was longer than I expected. It wasn't even the weekend, and so many people! Seeing the customers waiting out front made me even more curious how good it must be, haha.

Atmosphere and menu at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang
The tables run in long rows, and it feels like a comfortable place to chat. Lots of people having a drink, haha.
The menu
Right next to the menu I noticed the origin label: domestic Korean beef (hanwoo)!! No wonder it tasted so good.
Here's what we ordered.

Side dishes: pickled minari garlic sauce and 3 kinds of kimchi
At Jinseong, seasoned chives and a pickled water dropwort (minari) garlic sauce come as standard.
And this pickled water dropwort garlic sauce is seriously good. I want to make it at home too, T_T
They bring several kinds of kimchi, and they're so good.
Green onion kimchi, mustard leaf kimchi, and ponytail radish kimchi. They have that homemade touch, like they made it themselves. You can feel their pride in their kimchi!!!! Gopchang is oily, so with kimchi alongside you can mix and match in lots of ways.
How did the hanwoo gopchang and daechang taste?
Finally, today's main event! We first ordered 1 portion of hanwoo gopchang and 1 portion of hanwoo daechang. Honestly so delicious, haha. I want to go again!
Besides chives, bean sprouts and cabbage, potatoes come along too, so there's plenty to eat with the gopchang, haha.
The steamed egg is complimentary!!
Finishing with kkakdugi yangbap (tripe fried rice)
You can't skip fried rice after gopchang, right? Haha. So we ordered Jinseong's kkakdugi yangbap too!
The kkakdugi yangbap was delicious too, and I ate a ton.
Why two of us ordered an extra portion of gopchang
Even after the two of us finished the first hanwoo gopchang and daechang, it still felt like something was missing, haha. So in the end... one more portion of hanwoo gopchang! 🥩
Honestly, we could have stopped at 2 portions, but that day we wanted more gopchang, so we ordered extra.
