Post-lunch café at Hapjeong Station: terrace tiramisu, Central Site
In short
Central Site Hapjeong is a hand-drip coffee shop in Mapo, Seoul, that roasts its own beans, tucked down an alley off Hapjeong Station Exit 2. After lunch near Hapjeong Station, the writer ordered two staff-recommended cups of Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed drip (8,000 won each) and a Classic Tiramisu (8,500 won) and enjoyed them on the open terrace. Central Site Hapjeong's nutty drip coffee and not-too-sweet Classic Tiramisu are an easy pairing to add to a Hapjeong date.

Is the exterior of Central Site Hapjeong easy to find?

Turn into the alley you can see from Hapjeong Station Exit 2 and Central Site Hapjeong is right in front of you, so it was easy to find. Hapjeong has lots of small alleys that can be hard to navigate, but this café is in such a visible spot that it was convenient. With its stylish exterior and a relaxed terrace, this Hapjeong café won me over from the first impression.
Inside Central Site Hapjeong: atmosphere and roasting space

The inside of Central Site Hapjeong isn't huge, but it has quite a few tables. What stood out most was a separate space for roasting coffee. The nice thing about a café that roasts its own beans is that you smell the coffee the moment you walk in. You can instantly tell how serious this Hapjeong café is about coffee.

Central Site Hapjeong also sells hand-drip coffee separately, so coffee lovers will have fun just looking around. Their signature Classic Tiramisu apparently sells a ton every day, and by the time I went there was only a little left. Doesn't that make you even more excited? You wonder how good it must be to sell this much.
What did we order at Central Site Hapjeong?

At Central Site Hapjeong we ordered the staff-recommended hand-drip coffee and the Classic Tiramisu. Since they roast their own beans, I decided to pick from the hand-drip list, but there were so many kinds that I couldn't decide. So I went with what the staff recommended. When in doubt, ask the expert! The Classic Tiramisu was a must-eat, so of course I ordered that too.

- Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed ₩8,000
- Classic Tiramisu ₩8,500
We both like easygoing coffee with no strong quirks, so we ordered the same one, but I did wonder if we should have ordered different coffees to taste more.

What drip did I order again? Just as I wondered, I spotted the brochure~ Central Site Hapjeong gives you a brochure with every coffee you order, so you can read about the coffee you chose, which was a small delight. So thoughtful! As I read it, I got curious about the other coffees too~

How does the Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed drip taste?
The Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed at Central Site Hapjeong has a nutty flavor with no quirks, and I really recommend it. Maybe because it's a Hapjeong café that roasts its own beans, the coffee tastes on another level~ If you dislike bitter or acidic coffee, order this Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed. It goes down smoothly and I was very satisfied.

Why is the Classic Tiramisu at Central Site so popular?
The Classic Tiramisu at Central Site Hapjeong isn't overly sweet, and the cream is smooth and fragrant. You really have to try it. Once you do, you'll understand why it's so popular. It's better than the tiramisu at famous coffee chains. Seriously!!!!

Eating the drip coffee and Classic Tiramisu together was an amazing match, and we finished everything in no time. Next time at Central Site, the dessert café by Hapjeong Station, I'm thinking of ordering one tiramisu each. It was that good.
Is the terrace at Central Site Hapjeong good for a date?
The terrace at Central Site Hapjeong is open-style, with a breezy, airy feel that made it great for a date. We sat on the terrace with our coffee and tiramisu, and it almost felt like being overseas. Eating a delicious dessert on a date just puts you in a better mood, right? In that sense, Central Site was a perfect Hapjeong café for dates.
Verdict: Central Site, a tiramisu spot by Hapjeong Station
Central Site Hapjeong was a fantastic tiramisu spot by Hapjeong Station, with hand-drip coffee roasted in-house and the signature Classic Tiramisu. If you're looking for a dessert café to add to a Hapjeong Station date course, definitely stop by Central Site Hapjeong!!
