Seongsu Station burgers & beer after a 15-min weekend wait: bd Burger

Weekday or weekend, Seongsu Station is packed with people coming to check out the pop-up stores! There are plenty of good restaurants around, and I went to bd Burger, a Seongsu burger place famous enough that a wait is a must at peak times!

How long is the weekend lunch wait at bd Burger Seongsu?

I visited around 1 PM on a weekend, and there were about 4 groups ahead of me. I think we waited 10–15 minutes or so? The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of a building, so you wait on the stairs going up.

Once I got to the entrance there was a nice cool fan, and since you wait inside the building there's no sun, so I thought, okay, this wait is doable~ haha

On weekends a wait is really a must at this Seongsu burger spot! If you sit in the waiting area, the menu is on the counter across from you, so you can pick your order ahead of time!

Inside bd Burger Seongsu: seating and atmosphere

Inside there are tables for 2–4 people, and I saw lots of couples on dates in Seongsu and families!! Of course, burgers are loved by everyone, young and old! It's even a Seongsu burger place that has won over foreign visitors' tastes~

How to order and pick up at bd Burger Seongsu, plus the review event

Every seat has a tablet, so you can order and pay right at your table! After you order, when a pickup message shows up on the screen, go to the pickup zone, say your table number and collect your food~ There's also a review event, and if you join you get a free corn salad!!!

The wasabi shrimp and double cheeseburger are the popular ones at bd Burger! Wasabi goes better with a burger than you'd expect, which is why so many people order it!! The sides are also really varied, which I like: there's fried eggplant and fried mushrooms that are hard to find at other burger places, and of course french fries, the eternal partner of the burger! haha

What's at the self-service corner by the entrance?

There's a self-service corner near the entrance. Water, cups, utensils, plastic gloves, ketchup and everything else you need while eating a burger are gathered there, so grab what you need before your burger comes out! bd Burger is a great pick for a lunch date in Seongsu haha

I went on a date in Seongsu and ate a huge lunch,, since it's a burger place, we each picked one of the popular burgers, and because I wanted to try a bit of every fried side, I chose the one with fried eggplant and fried mushrooms together!! And since you can get plain fries anywhere else, I ordered the butter garlic fries haha

Most people go for cola or a milkshake, but it was hot out, so this time I tried beer!! Handmade burger + beer is a surprisingly good combo haha Cool and refreshing, perfect for summer!

As you'd expect from a proper handmade burger place, thick burgers! If you want to browse pop-up stores and go on a date in Seongsu, a hearty lunch is the best way to start, so I recommend a tasty, filling lunch at bd Burger in Seongsu~

How does the bd Wasabi Shrimp Burger taste?

This is the wasabi shrimp burger I ordered! The wasabi sauce, shrimp and green mustard go together wonderfully, and it's bd Burger's signature. The shrimp is really thick, so it looked even more generous and delicious.

The shrimp goes in almost whole, and it's fried nicely so it's easy to eat. And the wasabi really brings out the flavor of the burger, so I enjoyed it so much!

How does the Double Cheeseburger taste?

This is the bd Burger double cheeseburger! Thick patties make it a filling choice. The meat was cooked so tender and was so good, with a hint of smoky grill flavor, the juiciness of the meat and the richness of the cheese all coming through. And the onion cuts right through the greasiness, so you never get sick of it until the last bite!!

Fried eggplant and fried mushrooms: which sauces come with them?

Fried eggplant is one of bd Burger Seongsu's other popular sides! I was curious about the mushrooms too, so I got both haha

You know eggplant is best fried, right? The fried eggplant and mushrooms were so crunchy you could do a proper ASMR with them! The eggplant was crispy outside and tender inside, and the fried mushrooms filled my mouth with a lovely mushroom aroma!

Two sauces come with them, chipotle and ranch, so you can enjoy two different flavors.

How were the Butter Garlic Fries?

Lots of sauce, so it passes right away,, butter garlic fries are only good with plenty of sauce, and they looked amazing from the start!!

Thick, rich butter sauce with a strong garlic aroma meeting salty fries, how could that not be good,, the fries were thick yet fried soft, which made them even better!!

Why bd Burger Seongsu is worth the weekend wait

On weekends Seongsu overflows with families out for the day, couples on dates, lots of people there for the pop-up stores, and foreign tourists in Korea! Among them, bd Burger Seongsu is a handmade burger place that's great for a filling meal. Even though I waited on a weekend, my satisfaction was really high, so I recommend bd Burger as a burger spot near Seongsu Station!!
