Magongnaru pasta spot for a solo meal during a hospital wait: Pasta Go

In short

Pasta Go Magok Branch is a casual Italian pasta restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Botanic Garden building, directly connected to Exit 1 of Magongnaru Station in Seoul. During a long wait at a nearby hospital, the writer stopped in alone late one afternoon for a Gnocchi Lover, pepperoni mini pizza and cola 1-person set, plus an added green salad, at Lv.2 (Shin Ramyun) spice; the rich gnocchi cream sauce and the friendly owner stood out. Pasta Go Magok Branch is an easy solo-dining pasta spot in Magongnaru with surprisingly reasonable prices for the taste.

I went to a nearby hospital, the wait dragged on, and I ended up missing lunch and it was already late afternoon. Starving and worn out, I walked into Pasta Go Magok Branch, and the vibe and the food were so good that I actually left in a better mood 😊 I was just looking for a good pasta place in Magongnaru and somehow found a solo-dining haven!

What is Pasta Go Magok Branch?

Pasta Go Magok Branch is a casual Italian restaurant serving pasta, risotto, pizza and steak at reasonable prices. It has a reputation as a go-to pasta place in Magok.

It's on the 2nd floor of the Botanic Garden building, directly connected to Exit 1 of Magongnaru Station, so access is really easy. You step off the train and head straight up, with no worrying about rain or heat 😊

The wide menu is great, but what really stands out is Pasta Go's spice-level system. You can choose from Lv.0 (not spicy) to Lv.2 (Shin Ramyun spicy) and even Maekgosu (extra hot), so people who can't handle spice and people who love it can all be happy!

How to get to Pasta Go Magok Branch from Magongnaru Station

Come out of Exit 1 at Magongnaru Station and you'll be connected straight to the Botanic Garden building. Take the elevator or escalator up to the 2nd floor and you'll find Pasta Go. Since it's connected to the station, it's really easy to find 😊

It's also a perfect meal spot for people visiting Seoul Botanic Park. The location is great for stopping by before or after wandering the park 🌿

Atmosphere and seating: is Pasta Go good for eating alone?

Pasta Go Magok Branch has a casual pasta-bar feel without being over-decorated, and the moment I walked in it felt snug and cozy. It's a space you want to linger in comfortably.

The seating was great too. There's a wide range, from seats for 1–2 people to seats for 4–5, so I as a solo diner and families could all sit comfortably. I came alone and it wasn't awkward at all; it's actually an ideal setup for eating alone 😊

Above all, the owner left a deep impression with such kind, warm guidance. Ordering is by kiosk, and as a first-timer I almost got stuck for a moment, but the owner came over first to help, so I could order easily. Even on my first visit, the service was so warm it felt like I was already a regular 💚

The 1-person set: Gnocchi Lover, pepperoni mini pizza and cola

What I ordered this time was Pasta Go's 1-person set! It includes a pasta, a side and a drink, and I chose the Gnocchi Lover, the pepperoni mini pizza and a cola. I also added a green salad as an extra side!

For spice I picked Lv.2, Shin Ramyun level. It was my first visit so I didn't go too strong, and Shin Ramyun-level heat was just right and tasty. It felt very doable, so next time I'm thinking of challenging the Maekgosu level haha 🌶️

How did it taste? Better than most pasta specialty restaurants

Gnocchi Lover: a rich cream sauce that steals the show

The rich gnocchi cream flavor of Pasta Go's Gnocchi Lover is the best part, and this is the dish I really want to emphasize!

The gnocchi soaks up the creamy sauce, so the moment you take a bite the rich cream flavor rushes up. The gnocchi keeps its chewy, soft texture, and the sauce isn't heavy or cloying; it finishes clean. Saying it beats most pasta restaurants is no exaggeration 😋

Dip some bread in the sauce and you truly can't stop. It's the kind of sauce where you end up finishing every last drop haha

The pepperoni mini pizza I picked as the set's side was really good too! Even though it's mini, the portion was plenty, and the dough was baked crispy. Dipping the pizza in the gnocchi cream sauce turned out to be an unexpectedly great match 😄 I highly recommend this combo!

Green salad (added side): a palate cleanser between bites

When you're eating creamy gnocchi and pizza, you start craving something fresh partway through, right? The green salad played that role perfectly. The dressing was clean too, ideal for refreshing the palate 😊

Value for money and the review event at Pasta Go Magok Branch

Honestly, the price was so cheap for the taste that I was actually surprised! It's hard to believe this is the price of a 1-person set with pasta of this quality, plus pizza and a drink.

Even considering prices around Magongnaru, this value is really impressive. With eating-out prices up so much lately, it's a welcome place where you can enjoy this quality at this price 👍

On top of that, they're running an event where you get free cream churros for writing a Naver receipt review! Be sure to grab it when you visit 😊
