The staff were friendly and explained the cocktails well, which made for a relaxed atmosphere that was easy to settle into!

The space is dim in just the right way, with lighting well placed for conversation and coziness. It's a great Hapjeong date spot, and works just as well as a second-round venue for a blind date without ever feeling over the top 😌

Rosetta's series of painting-themed cocktails 🍸 These original creations are inspired by works of art, built with creative recipes you can only taste here. Rosetta reinterprets a piece of art in liquid form, pouring the freedom of that inspiration — unbound from its frame — into a single glass. A single cocktail, but you get the feeling there's a lot to take in from it.

Free tofu chips, buttered baby potatoes and jamon at Rosetta

I liked that even Rosetta's complimentary snack — tofu chips — was tasty. Light and satisfyingly crunchy!

Since this was a second-round visit, I kept the food simple: buttered baby potatoes and jamón. The butter-fried potatoes had that crisp-outside, tender-inside texture, and the salty jamón glazed in apricot syrup was an addictively sweet-and-salty combo.

I didn't expect much from this order, but the mealy texture and nutty flavor didn't overpower the cocktails' varied flavors, making it a great pairing dish.

Water Lily Pond: an 8% cocktail to start with

Water Lily Pond 🪷 Dry sherry, fig, soda, herb oil, garnished with a celery pickle — a refreshing cocktail!

This cocktail layers the white grape skin notes of the sherry with various herbs and fruit to express nature's freshness. Clean and crisp, it works well as a light first drink, and at around 8% ABV it's easy to sip.

Dancer on Stage 💃🏻 Herb liqueur, cognac, black tea, palo santo, banana cream, garnished with roasted buckwheat — a dessert cocktail. It's said to represent a single moment of spotlight on stage and the darkness behind it: behind the elegant, thick sweetness of the black tea and cognac, the herb's bitterness and woody scent slowly spread. There's a heaviness behind the glamour, if that makes sense.

The crunchy buckwheat crumble garnish is nutty and salty, making this an appealing sweet-and-salty cocktail.

The Scream, the boldest cocktail on the list

The Scream 😱 Peated whisky, Calvados, Averna, bay leaf, cinnamon, dusted with pepper — an intensely flavored cocktail. You get the rough, smoky whisky note along with tannins, and a lingering finish of cinnamon and apple brandy.

The taste is very direct, but it's not muddled — there's a smoothness that lingers in the mouth, which is what makes it appealing! The ABV is quite high, but it feels smooth on the palate.

Old Fashioned 🥃 I also ordered a classic cocktail, and it delivered — a heavy, sweet aroma, a bittersweet flavor, and the fragrant citrus note from the orange peel on top.

Rosetta is a cocktail bar near Hapjeong Station where you can settle in for an easy conversation over drinks in an elegant, upscale setting. The atmosphere never felt over the top, the seats were comfortable to stay in, and the staff's thoughtful explanations were a nice touch.

The painting-inspired cocktails felt more meaningful somehow, making me think about the ideas behind them, and it was fun to savor each one with real interest. If you're looking for a good-atmosphere bar near Hapjeong Station, I'd recommend it for a blind date or a regular date night alike. 🖤
