Sushi restaurant in Sejong: Couple Set at Sushi Resto

I’d spotted this place a few times while passing through Daejeon, and it turns out it’s quite popular with Sodam-dong residents as a Japanese restaurant in Sejong—good value, with lots of lunch options! Delivery is available too, so it’s also a great Sejong spot for solo-meal delivery and takeout!

Of course, I also thought it would be nice to visit when you’re craving sashimi for a dinner get-together! There’s sushi on the menu, but also fresh sashimi, so it’s popular with Sejong office workers too 🩷 It’s more convenient to come by car, and parking is available. 🚗

The interior was more spacious than I expected! There are private rooms farther inside, so it looked great for groups. Naturally, there are counter seats too, making it seem like a good place to eat alone~ I came with one other person and didn’t make a reservation, but lunch and dinner hall reservations are easy to make through Naver.

Here’s the menu :) Since we visited at lunch, I was going to order the Resto Lunch Sushi, which comes with 10 pieces, but~ we ordered the Couple Set, which wasn’t on Naver’s menu list, haha! If you want more sushi, you can order individual items! Just order on the tablet at your table.

The Couple Set comes with chef’s-choice sushi + a roll + noodles + a fried item + two drinks. Isn’t that incredible value..-!! We chose futomaki (thick sushi roll) for the roll, beef brisket udon for the noodles, shrimp tempura for the fried item, and one Coke and one cider for the drinks, haha. The salad with black sesame sauce is a complimentary side dish.

Each table has soy sauce and small sauce dishes, so we got everything ready before the food arrived~

Thick-cut chef’s-choice sushi and spicy beef brisket udon

The chef’s-choice sushi came out first :) There was such a great variety, haha. That day, it included egg sushi, soy-marinated shrimp, tuna, sweet shrimp, salmon, and flounder! The fish was thick-cut and delicious!!

And the udon, which I’d thought of as just a side dish!!! Isn’t the amount of beef brisket amazing? There was so much brisket, it was almost like eating beef brisket jjamppong, haha. There were loads of noodles too. The spicy broth was so good for recovering after a night out 👍🏻

It’s amazing that shrimp tempura comes with it too,, and the futomaki was sooo delicious. Honestly, this lineup simply can’t taste bad, right?

Sushi Resto Sejong Sodam Main Branch is a great-value restaurant in Sejong. The Couple Set is so generously served, so stop by for sushi on a date!
