Couple's brunch and bell ordering at Seongsu pasta spot Brivite
In short
Brivite Seongsu is a pasta and gnocchi restaurant in Seongdong, Seoul, a 3-minute walk from Ttukseom Station Exit 4. On a brunch date with her husband, the writer ordered the Beet Set — two mains plus a side and two drinks — and shared salmon steak pasta, green onion cream corn gnocchi and spicy fried eggplant. Between the retro interior and ordering by ringing the bell on the table, Brivite Seongsu works well as a Seongsu brunch date spot.

My husband and I went to Brivite Seongsu for a brunch date. Honestly, it's not an exaggeration to say I visited mainly because I wanted the fried eggplant so badly, haha. Once we tried the pasta and gnocchi too, I totally got why people call this a Seongsu pasta spot!

Where is Brivite Seongsu, and is there parking?
Brivite is about a 3-minute walk from Ttukseom Station Exit 4. The butter-colored wall with the hot-pink door and sign catches your eye even from a distance. There's no parking lot at the restaurant, so we parked at a nearby public parking lot and walked over!

With the wood frames, potted plants, and even a small bench, the entrance felt like a little European eatery! It was a nice spot for a date photo with my husband too.
Inside Brivite Seongsu: retro interior and seating
Stepping inside Brivite Seongsu, the cream-colored walls and wood tones with soft lighting made it feel cozy.
There's a variety of seating — two-tops and four-tops — with fairly generous spacing between tables, so we could chat comfortably during our meal.

Above all, the retro-style interior was totally my style, so I spent quite a while taking photos, haha. There were lots of other couples on dates too, so it really suits a Seongsu brunch date spot.

Ringing the table bell to order: what's in the Beet Set
Once we sat down, a staff member brought a menu and a small bell. You pick what you want and ring the bell when you're ready — this little detail was fun too!

They had a wide range of Western dishes — gnocchi, pasta, salad, steak, and risotto. There was a set for two that lets you pick two mains plus a side and drinks, so we went with the beet set. We chose salmon steak pasta, green onion cream corn gnocchi, and spicy fried eggplant, with Zero Pepsi and Sprite.

There was also an event running at the time where you could get a free ade by leaving a review! The ade at the next table looked so pretty. If you like ade, give it a try :)
There's also a self-bar in one corner of the restaurant. Water, paper cups, and tissues were set out, and you could also help yourself to beet pickles. The crisp, tangy pickles were perfect between bites of the pasta and cream gnocchi!
Drinks and spicy fried eggplant at Brivite Seongsu

After ordering, the drinks came out first. The glasses were packed with ice and even had cute striped straws, so the drinks looked as good as they tasted.

Next came the side dish, spicy fried eggplant. Honestly, it's not an exaggeration to say I came to Brivite mainly for this eggplant! The golden-fried eggplant was topped with a sprinkle of cheese, and came with lemon and chipotle sauce.
One bite in, the outside was crispy and the eggplant inside was moist — the texture was so good.
The chipotle sauce was spicier than expected, which cut through the richness of the fried batter, and a squeeze of lemon made it even fresher.
Green onion cream corn gnocchi and salmon steak pasta

While we were eating the eggplant, the gnocchi and pasta arrived next. Both dishes were beautifully plated, and even the plates themselves were my style, so I ended up taking photos before eating.

First, the green onion cream corn gnocchi came in a yellow corn cream sauce topped with gnocchi, bacon, and corn kernels.

The gnocchi was lightly browned on the outside and chewy inside, which made for great texture. The subtle green onion aroma paired well with the savory, sweet corn cream sauce, and the pop of the corn kernels was a nice touch too!

My husband really enjoyed it too. If you're deciding what to order at Brivite, I'd recommend trying the signature green onion cream corn gnocchi!

The salmon steak pasta that came with it had a big, well-grilled piece of salmon sitting on top of the noodles, and it caught the eye right away.

The salmon was thick, so it went well with the noodles, and the tomato ragù sauce was a little spicy with a clean finish.

The flavor was so different from the cream gnocchi that it was fun for my husband and me to go back and forth between the two dishes!
Is Brivite Seongsu a good Seongsu brunch date spot?
From the retro interior to the food, Brivite had a real date-worthy feel. The fried eggplant I'd been looking forward to was crispy and spicy, and my husband enjoyed the green onion cream corn gnocchi too, so I felt like we picked well between the two of us! If you're looking for a good-vibe Seongsu pasta spot near Ttukseom Station, try a brunch date at Brivite!
