bd Burger Seongsu Station Yeonmujang-gil Lunch & Dinner (bd버거 성수역연무장길 점심저녁) is on the 2nd floor of a building at 7 Seongsui-ro 14-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. It is open daily from 11:30 to 21:00, with last order at 20:30. There's no parking, but groups, takeout and delivery are all fine.

What kind of shrimp burger restaurant is bd Burger in Seongsu?

bd Burger is a handmade burger place near Seongsu Station where you can try all kinds of shrimp burgers, from regular shrimp patties to burgers with flame-grilled whole shrimp. For people who don't like shrimp patties, there are a few meat patty burgers too.

I had plans in Seongsu one day and stopped by bd Burger, a famous burger spot near Seongsu Station! I love handmade burgers and go around trying them, but I'd never been to a place that specializes in shrimp burgers, so I was excited even before I went. It's a convenient spot when you want a burger near Seongsu Station and Yeonmujang-gil, and the shop is on the 2nd floor, so you just walk up the stairs.

What is the bd Burger weekday Happy Lunch Set deal?

On weekdays from 11:30 to 13:00, bd Burger Seongsu runs a Happy Lunch Set event. If you come during that window, you can get the Wasabi Shrimp Burger Set or the Double Cheese Burger Set for ₩3,000 off.

It looked like a good lunch option for office workers around Seongsu. It's also an easy place to eat alone, so I'd recommend it if you're looking for a solo lunch in Seongsu.

How big is bd Burger Seongsu, and what's the self zone?

The shop isn't very big. Groups are allowed, but personally I think it suits small visits, like eating alone or going as a pair, better than big gatherings.

One side has a self zone where you can grab what you need yourself: wet wipes, napkins, forks, knives, plates, ketchup, hot sauce and straws.

Water is self-serve too. Drinks can be refilled once, so if you run out midway through your burger, you can get one more.

How do you order at bd Burger?

At bd Burger Seongsu you order on a kiosk at your seat. Once you've ordered, a pickup message appears on the screen and you go to the pickup zone to collect your food yourself, so ordering was easy.

We also grabbed plates, forks, knives, wet wipes and hot sauce before our burgers, very diligent of us.

We ordered Sprite Zero and Coke Zero, and the staff brought the drinks to us.

And here's our burger set from the pickup zone a little later! Two burgers plus sides, and the table is full. Pretty generous, right?

A burger holder that makes handmade burgers easier to eat

What impressed me most while eating at bd Burger was the burger holder. Handmade burgers are big, so it's awkward to put one down mid-meal, but with a dedicated holder you can rest it comfortably whenever you want.

How does the Grilled Shrimp Avocado Burger taste?

The Grilled Shrimp Avocado Burger is one of bd Burger's signature items, with flame-grilled whole shrimp, avocado and bacon. Of our two burgers, this was my personal number one.

Because it has whole shrimp, you really feel the shrimp texture, and the slightly spicy flavor plus soft avocado is a combo I liked. With avocado in there it even feels kind of healthy, haha.

What is the whole-shrimp patty in the Wasabi Shrimp Burger like?

The Wasabi Shrimp Burger is another signature item, made with wasabi sauce, shrimp and green mustard leaf.

What stood out in the Wasabi Shrimp Burger was the plump whole-shrimp patty. Bite in and the thick patty is packed with chunky shrimp, which has a great texture. It's fried on the outside and full of shrimp inside, so I think people who like crispy-outside, juicy-inside fried food like croquettes will love it even more. It has a different charm from regular meat patty burgers, so it's worth trying if you're hunting for a good shrimp burger in Seongsu.

Which bd Burger side dishes are good?

Corn salad

I ordered corn salad as a side too. Eating a bite here and there between burgers and fried food was a nice palate refresher. I hear you can also get the corn salad by joining the Naver review event, so don't forget to check if you're visiting!

Butter garlic fries

Next side: butter garlic fries. Thick, garlicky butter sauce sits on top of the fries, and it was salty and rich. Eating it, I suddenly desperately wanted a beer... haha. It's a shame they don't sell beer.

Fried eggplant and whole fried button mushrooms

And a slightly unusual side: I also ordered fried eggplant and whole fried button mushrooms. They come with two sauces, chipotle and ranch, so dip however you like.

Of the two, I especially liked the whole fried button mushrooms. Dipped in the ranch sauce, so good! If you want a side other than fries with your burger, I totally recommend the fried button mushrooms.

Hair ties and dental floss: the little touches at bd Burger Seongsu

On one side of the shop there were hair ties, hairpins and even dental floss. I liked that they thought of these small things so you can tidy up before you leave.

What to know before visiting bd Burger Seongsu

The restroom is inside the building on the 1st floor. Takeout can also be ordered through Naver, and since there's no break time, it's a handy reference when you need a place to eat in Seongsu at an in-between hour.

On weekdays from 11:30 to 13:00 there's also the Happy Lunch discount, so it looked good for office workers hunting for a Seongsu lunch spot or anyone eating alone.
