Gangseo, Seoul pasta restaurant for solo dining: Pasta Go

As the weather has gotten quite a bit cooler, I’ve been seeing lots of people taking walks and enjoying picnics at Seoul Botanic Park. I was also wondering what to eat nearby, and this time I visited Pasta Go Magok Branch (파스타고 마곡점), a place I’d newly discovered.

Getting to Pasta Go Magok Branch from Magoknaru Station

First, the exterior felt stylish, with its neat sign and white-and-wood interior look. Head into the Botanic Prugio building and take the escalator up to the second floor—you’ll find it easily.

A dining room with roomy table spacing

When I opened the door and stepped in, the interior was more spacious than I expected, and the tables were set comfortably far apart. It had an atmosphere where you could eat at ease without worrying about the next table.

There were tables for two on one side, while the other side was divided into tables for three or more. I visited early at lunchtime, so there were no guests yet, but before long people working at nearby offices came in for lunch and the seats filled up quickly.

Kiosk ordering and dine-in or takeaway discounts

You can order at the kiosk you see as soon as you come in. There were set menus as well as all kinds of pasta, risotto, steak, pizza, and more. Pasta Go Magok Branch is running a 20% discount promotion for dine-in and takeaway orders, which made it even better!

A satisfying solo set, even when dining alone

This time, I ordered the solo set and shrimp Toowoomba pasta. The solo set comes with aglio e olio, gorgonzola pizza, and cider, so I thought it was a great combination for trying a variety of things even when visiting alone.

You can choose the spice level for the aglio e olio, and I picked a Shin Ramyun-level heat. Even though it was an oil-based pasta, it wasn’t greasy; it was pleasantly spicy with a subtle garlic aroma, the kind of flavor that kept me reaching for more.

The shrimp were plump and nicely seasoned, and they went wonderfully with the little morning rolls served alongside. 👍🏻

The gorgonzola pizza had a rich, dense cheese flavor, but dipping it in the honey served with it added just a touch of sweetness, making it easy for anyone to enjoy. I loved the combination with the nutty almonds that came through now and then. With a cold cider as well, it made for a properly filling meal.

Shrimp Toowoomba pasta at Shin Ramyun-level heat

I also ordered the shrimp Toowoomba pasta at a Shin Ramyun-level heat. It had a deep yet gentle flavor, so I felt it was easy to enjoy without being overwhelming.

As expected, it was generously loaded with bouncy shrimp, and the creamy sauce coated the noodles evenly. From the first bite, I could taste both its smoothness and savory depth. The noodles were cooked just right, too, so I enjoyed it all the way to the last bite.

The self-service bar has pickles, side plates, water, and napkins ready for you, so feel free to use it.

They also give you cream churros through a receipt-review event, so it might be nice to take part. Overall, it’s a place I could comfortably recommend to anyone looking for good pasta near Magoknaru Station: the location is convenient, the restaurant is pleasant, and the menu offers great value. I also noticed plenty of delivery and takeaway orders while I was eating. Taking away pasta and pizza, spreading out a picnic mat at Seoul Botanic Park, and eating there would be so lovely.
