If you're wondering what to have for lunch today, I strongly recommend stir-fried webfoot octopus!!!! I revisited Songjjujip (송쭈집), famous for webfoot octopus near Magoknaru Station :)

• Takeout and group bookings available; private hire for at least 55 people is possible (reservation deposit required)

Songjjujip, a great webfoot octopus spot in Magok Central Tower 2, is just a 3–4 minute walk from Exit 1 of Magoknaru Station.

It's on the second floor, so take the escalator in front and you'll spot it right away :) The interior is so neat, spacious, and pleasant~~! Private hire is also available (minimum 55 people), so it would be great for company dinners or gatherings.

You can order from the tablet at the table.

They have main webfoot octopus dishes ranging from octopus only to snow-cheese octopus and octopus with all the add-ons, and the first order requires one octopus serving per person.

A refreshing salad, white kimchi, sweet-and-tangy chilled seaweed soup, plus roasted seaweed, seasoned bean sprouts, perilla leaves, chives, flying fish roe, and sauce to enjoy with the octopus!

The staff kindly showed us how to make a delicious octopus ssam (leaf wrap), too :) Layer perilla leaf, seaweed, bean sprouts, and chives, then add octopus with flying fish roe and/or sauce however you like 🤎

The nice thing is that the staff stir-fry everything for you, so all we have to do is eat once it's cooked :)

Once they've stir-fried it all, wait 2–3 minutes before eating~ Doesn't it look so plump and delicious? 🥰

How spicy is it, and what is the octopus like?

🦑 Following their instructions, I stacked up my wrap and dipped the octopus in sauce~~~ The seasoning has just the right little kick and is deliciously spicy ❤️ It felt about as spicy as Shin Ramyun, so even spice beginners can handle it!!

The octopus isn't tiny at all—it's really substantial and bouncy, making it so satisfying to chew, haha. Seaweed and flying fish roe are my absolute favorite combo ❤️❤️ A little chive on top of the pork belly and octopus, yum yum. I never got tired of eating it, however I combined it.

The cheese rice cakes were so, so tasty too, with the seasoning soaked right in.

It isn't complete without cheese fried rice

Cheese fried rice for one. Not having fried rice with seasoning this delicious should be illegal. If you want, they'll stir-fry in all the leftover chives and flying fish roe too 🤤 Then they finish it with a lovely sprinkle of cheese powder—the crowning touch~~!!!

The savory cheese with spicy octopus fried rice is packed with umami ㅠㅠ As expected, the meal is only perfect once you've had the fried rice, too!!!

This delicious stir-fried webfoot octopus is also sold as a meal kit, so you can easily cook it up at home~ 👍🏻 And apparently the takeout portion is even bigger than what you eat in the restaurant! Prep work is such a hassle, so grabbing a meal kit seems like the better deal ♥♥♥

I strongly recommend this place whenever you're craving spicy webfoot octopus. Of course, my intention to revisit is 100000%.
