Gangseo family restaurant with kids’ playroom: Tteudon Magok

I guess I really do like pork cutlets :-) They say it’s men’s soul food, but I feel like I’ve been eating pork cutlets a lot lately haha. Last time it was katsu with a Japanese feel! Today, I went for Western-style Korean pork cutlets.

Getting to Tteudon Magok Branch from Magok Station

Tteudon Magok Branch (뜨돈 마곡점) was about 174 m on foot from Exit 4 of Magok Station. It’s on the second floor, so make sure to look up as you go -!

Take the building elevator to the second floor, then go right and it’s immediately there. All pork cutlet menu items are ₩1,000 off during weekday lunch, from 10:00 to 14:00! Lunch would be a great time to come.

The restaurant was spacious, with tables for two, four, and six, so it would be good for groups too. The menu includes pork cutlets, pasta, and fried rice, so I think lots of families come here as well.

A kids’ playroom that’s great with children

I think the biggest advantage of Tteudon Magok Branch is its kids’ playroom. These days, there seem to be so many no-kids zones in restaurants and cafés, so places you can go with children feel really limited 😭 Tteudon has a separate playroom, so families can come and the adults can eat comfortably too 👍🏻

From handmade pork cutlets to pasta

Tteudon Magok Branch is a handmade pork cutlet restaurant, so there were lots of pork cutlet options.

Besides the pork cutlets, there are so many choices including pasta, fried rice, udon, cold udon, and kongguksu (cold soybean noodle soup), so if you visit with several people, it would be nice to order one each and share 😊

A self bar with soup and tteokbokki

At Tteudon’s self bar, there was udon broth, soup, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), and bread.

Everything is self-service, and the nice thing is that you can keep having as much as you want -! I love soup, but these days lots of pork cutlet places don’t serve it anymore…. So I loved this so much hahahaha 🤤

The tteokbokki tasted exactly like the snack-shop tteokbokki you’d get in front of a school. They kept making more and refilling it.

Old-fashioned pork cutlet and reasonably priced pasta

Tteudon Old-Fashioned Pork Cutlet, ₩10,900. It really captured exactly the taste of old-fashioned pork cutlet, just like its name. If you want a classic Western-style Korean pork cutlet, try the old-fashioned one -!

Shrimp Rosé Pasta, ₩12,900. There aren’t many places these days where you can have pasta in the ₩10,000 range, but you can at Tteudon 🙊 The carbonara is ₩10,900!!!

Sweet potato cheese pork cutlet topped with sweet potato mousse

Tteudon Sweet Potato Cheese Pork Cutlet, ₩14,900. When it comes to pork cutlets, it has to be sweet potato cheese pork cutlet 🍠🧀🐽 Tteudon’s version came with a generous heap of sweet potato mousse on top of the cheese pork cutlet. It was so much fun just to look at first.

Can you see that cheese stretching? It was really delicious 🤤🤤 You absolutely have to try the sweet potato cheese pork cutlet ✨

A pork cutlet burger made with self-bar bread

Tteudon’s special pork cutlet burger 🍔 They recommended making one yourself, so I gave it a try too.

• Bring bread from the self bar
• Put the salad, corn, and pork cutlet that come with the meal between the bread
• Enjoy ~ 😋

You can just make it however it looks good to you hahaha. Eating the pork cutlet on its own and then turning it into a pork cutlet burger made it feel different.

The ice cream self bar after your meal

After finishing our meal, we could use the ice cream self bar too!!! Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and green tea—you can eat it at the restaurant or take it out. I was taking mine to go, so I put it in a disposable cup 🍦
