Geobukseom shellfish grill in Siheung: 4 king scallop plates refilled

We went on vacation to Geobukseom. When you're on vacation you have to eat well, and this time my husband and I shouted the same menu at the same time: grilled shellfish!

Honestly I really love grilled shellfish... but every time I go to a shellfish grill place, even while enjoying it, I always end up thinking 'ah, I wish I could eat just a little more of this' haha. So this time I went in determined.

Today, let's eat grilled shellfish to our heart's content!

Vacation dinner near Geobukseom at Unlimited Refill Grilled Shellfish Siheung Baegot Branch

After spending the day on vacation at Geobukseom, the place we went to for dinner was Unlimited Refill Grilled Shellfish Siheung Baegot Branch. Seeing the 'today's shellfish lineup' sign at the entrance made me feel like they carefully manage which shellfish they prepare each day :)

We visited as three — my husband, our kid, and me — and I was a little worried it would be crowded since it's vacation season!!? Especially at dinner time, I wondered if we'd even have to wait. But guess what? Luckily we got seated right away with no wait! What was even more surprising was that once we sat down, we realized it was the very last open seat lol. If we'd been a little later we might have had to wait. I guess timing really matters for popular spots during vacation season haha hehe.

Are king scallops really refilled free? Yes, over four plates

They had scallops, red scallops, king scallops, abalone, blood clams, Manila clams, surf clams, conch and more prepared, so you just pick what you want and bring it back yourself. Since I came really determined that day, I piled my plate high right from the start haha.

Normally I'd be thinking about the price, wondering 'is it okay to eat this too?' but since it's all-you-can-eat, I could bring back as much as I wanted without any worry! Especially my favorites, king scallops and scallops — I loaded up generously!

And king scallops... I've never seen a place with no extra charge for them... Even at all-you-can-eat places, king scallops usually require extra payment, or you only get one and anything after that is extra, right? Unlimited king scallops?! I have to eat as much as I can!

There were tips posted on how to grill the shellfish and how to eat them a little less salty! Hahahaha.

Draft beer refills for 6,900 won and the cheese and buldak sauce self-bar

Unlimited draft beer is ₩6,900. We always drink more than two glasses each, so paying for the unlimited option is definitely worth it!

There were cheeses and sauces prepared for dipping the grilled shellfish or putting on top of it, and honestly... the buldak (fire chicken) sauce was the standout. I've been obsessed with buldak lately, and buldak sauce here?! I couldn't handle it.

At the end, I have to eat the fruit, yellow peaches, and pineapple too~

The woo-samgyeop (thin sliced beef brisket) was super popular. It kept getting refilled quickly.

Unlimited cheese on top of unlimited king scallops, seriously lolllll. The owner is really generous... Cheese that the kids love too, right there in the self-serve bar.

There's pork belly and pork shoulder too^^ When you come with kids, they might not eat much shellfish, so having meat here meant we didn't have to worry about choosing this place — and when we got tired of eating so much shellfish, we could have a piece of meat~ hahaha.

There was so much more too — kimchi pancake, corn dogs, sausages, rice cakes and more. I even had a corn dog for dessert haha.

The shellfish I first brought over. The fact that I ate four more plates after this... let's keep that a secret from the owner, hahaha.

Apparently the cheese ghost (me) refilled it twice.~~~ The cheese really was delicious, too.

You can also get ramyeon (instant noodles) cooked for ₩3,000, and everyone seemed to be adding shellfish to make a refreshing clam ramyeon broth. I really wanted to have it, but... we were so full from all the shellfish we couldn't even manage it. Such a shame.

What the grill looks like: shellfish and meat cooking side by side

Once you place the shellfish one by one on the grill plate, the real grilling time begins. As the shellfish sizzle and start to open, and you can see the plump meat inside, the chopsticks come out right away haha. Meat gets grilled alongside too^^

The shellfish opening up as if begging to be eaten right away. Cracking them open while hot and dipping them straight into chojang (vinegared chili sauce) — grilled shellfish really tastes best when you grill it yourself.

We entered the receipt review event draw and won soju or beer! We immediately said let's make somaek (soju + beer mix) and got the soju. Such a lucky day!

The combo of grilled shellfish and draft beer is simply irresistible. With a cold glass of draft beer poured, shellfish sizzling on the grill, and meat cooking alongside, it really felt like we were properly enjoying our vacation.

Eating only grilled shellfish nonstop can get a bit much, but here they also had meat prepared so we could grill and eat some in between.

We kept devouring it all and going back for more... and here's another thing worth praising — the staff were sooo!!!! kind. Even though we came during a really busy time, they were so friendly and even touched us with how welcoming they were.

How to eat king scallops here: cheese plus buldak sauce

Please try eating it exactly this way. Bring cheese with buldak and chili sauce, cut a king scallop that's cooked just enough, then put it on top and eat it... ugh. The buldak sauce is truly a masterstroke.

For the final finish, I ate a whole bowl of fruit and even a corn dog haha.

Service touches at Siheung Baegot: neck coolers for every guest

Oh, this place really... I genuinely thought they were amazing and thoughtful when they asked if we were hot and brought out neck coolers for us. Thanks to that, even though grilling made us warm, we stayed cool right up until we left...! It was truly the best.

We came to Geobukseom on vacation, were looking for a dinner spot, and stumbled onto this place by chance — and in the end it turned out to be a meal I felt really good about for this vacation..! Especially if you're searching for a Baegot restaurant or a Geobukseom grilled shellfish spot, this could be a solid choice since you can enjoy not just shellfish but meat, side dishes, and draft beer all in one place.

Our family got lucky and sat in the very last available seat with no wait, and properly enjoyed everything from grilled shellfish to meat to draft beer^_^ Our goal for this Geobukseom vacation — 'eat grilled shellfish without limits' — accomplished! ❤️ Next time we come back to Geobukseom, I think grilled shellfish will be the first thing that comes to mind again.
