Bokkeriu in Hanam: the basics

Bokkeriu's signature dishes include the ricotta cheese salad, shrimp bisque pasta and seafood tomato pasta. It is open 11:30–22:00 (break time 16:30–17:30) and closed every Monday. You can park in front of the restaurant, and there is a spacious private lot.

Today I'm introducing Bokkeriu, a great date spot in Hanam 🩵

Bokkeriu is known for its atmosphere, both as a Hanam date spot and as a Western restaurant in Misa. Couples come for dates, and older diners love it for the atmosphere too.

Parking and weekday lunch at Bokkeriu: do you need a reservation?

Bokkeriu has its own parking lot, so no parking worries. The restaurant starts on the 2nd floor, so you walk up the stairs! Even on a weekday lunch it was completely full. I think it's best to make a reservation before you visit.

Window seats at Bokkeriu: tree views and a Han River glimpse

Through the floor-to-ceiling windows you see lush green trees and a little bit of the Han River. It's all about the atmosphere here! 🌳💗

The interior is clean and uncluttered, and the tables aren't packed tightly together, so it's nice for chatting and for dates! Bokkeriu, the Hanam date spot .. 💛

Every seat looks out the windows, so the mood was good wherever you sit.

Is Bokkeriu baby-friendly? High chair and baby tableware

Bokkeriu has a high chair and even prepared baby tableware. 👶🏻 I came with my baby. Even the table setting is already pretty, true to a Hanam date spot, right? 💕

Bokkeriu menu: lunch set and à la carte

The menu has a weekday lunch set and sets for 2, 3 and 4 people, plus plenty of à la carte dishes. I wanted to try several things rather than a set, so I ordered a salad, pastas, pizza and more. Everything sounded delicious just reading it, haha, so choosing was hard.

Bread and kelp butter

Bokkeriu serves bread before the meal. It came out warm, which I loved, and it was drizzled with olive oil, so it tasted good on its own.

But eaten with the kelp butter (dasima butter) served alongside, the flavor doubled. The bread is warm, so the butter melts right in 🧈

Ricotta cheese salad, ₩13,000: should you order it?

The ricotta cheese salad at Bokkeriu is ₩13,000. Wow, ㅠㅠ .. please order this! 🥗 It's sooooo fresh and so delicious. It was so good I wished I could pay more for a bigger portion!!!

The ricotta here is the kicker ..! It literally melts in your mouth, and everyone raved about how good this cheese was. ❤️ I'll definitely order the ricotta cheese salad again next time.

Shrimp bisque pasta, ₩24,000: three big peeled shrimp

The shrimp bisque pasta at Bokkeriu is ₩24,000, topped with three big shrimp and served with fresh, slightly bitter arugula. This combination is the best 👍 It felt like each pairing was thought through, and I loved that!

The shrimp come peeled so they're easy to eat. You can't exactly sit there peeling shrimp on a date .. haha. A thoughtful Hanam date spot ㅎㅎ 🍤❤️ The shrimp tasted like charcoal-grilled chicken skewers, and I wanted ten of them!! Honey-sweet 🫶🏻

As you can see in the photo, the noodles were springy and there was plenty of sauce, which I loved. The sauce soaked into the noodles well, making this a really tasty pasta! I recommend this one too.

Seafood tomato pasta, ₩24,000: how is it different from the bisque?

The seafood tomato pasta at Bokkeriu is ₩24,000 and is packed with scallops, shrimp, mussels, clams, squid and more, so it's fun to eat 🍅 Compared with the shrimp bisque pasta, the bisque had a rich, creamy sauce, while the seafood tomato pasta was a clean, deep tomato-based pasta.

This pasta also nailed the noodle thickness, the doneness and the generous sauce!!! 🍝 After eating this far, I felt you couldn't go wrong with any pasta here! There's a prejudice(?) that atmosphere places have mediocre food, but Bokkeriu is a Hanam date spot that wins on taste too 💗

Margherita pizza, ₩23,000, and a ranch sauce refill

The margherita pizza at Bokkeriu is ₩23,000. I felt like having a basic pizza today, so I ordered the margherita, and it turned out everything I ordered was tomato-based, haha. Still, for pizza it had to be margherita ..! 🍕 It's basic, but the dough, cheese and fresh basil were all the best 🍃

Bokkeriu is apparently famous as a pizza place, and the dough really was delicious. It comes in 6 slices, and even though I finished my pasta too, I think I ate 3 slices by myself!!! That's how much I recommend the pizza! hahaha

It comes with ranch sauce, and dipping the pizza in it is a great combination. I got one more refill of ranch to finish the pizza haha!!! On a first visit I recommend the margherita. Next time I want to try other pizzas ♡

Drinks at Bokkeriu: grapefruit ade and iced Americano

The grapefruit ade at Bokkeriu is ₩7,000. The plum ade was listed first on the menu so it seemed like the main one, but I went for my usual grapefruit ade. It had chewy fruit pulp, was refreshing, and the portion was big, so ades are worth ordering here!! A perfect match for the food 💕

The iced Americano is ₩6,000. It's a Western restaurant in Misa, so many tables were having Americanos with their pizza and pasta. We wanted coffee with our meal too, and the coffee tasted great! ☕️❤️
