Just when it had turned cold enough that I thought winter was right around the corner, the weather warmed up again for the past few days. It was a perfect day for going out or sitting at an outdoor table, so I couldn't stay home and ran around all day. I took a quick taste of Achasan, then headed over to Konkuk Univ. for a cold beer at "Pizza E Michida." I mean, beer at ₩1,900 a glass? That's practically free, right?~~

As the name ("Crazy for Pizza") suggests, it's a pizza specialist, but there was also a ton of other tasty stuff like pasta, chicken and bingsu~~

How were the ₩1,900 draft beer and the free nachos?

The ₩1,900 draft beer came out ice-cold. Nachos and sauce come as the free side, and the orange sauce was especially good.

Beer first!!!!!!! I was so thirsty, and I held back from buying a drink on the way just so I could have a cold beer. Honestly, even once I got inside I fought the urge to gulp down water and held out for this draft beer T_T My throat was burning, but it was worth the wait because the ice-cold draft arrived and I drank it without even breathing, haha

Once my thirst was finally quenched, the nachos caught my eye. They come as the free side, and both the nachos and the sauce were so good that I kept picking at them. That orange sauce is seriously tasty

The half-half pizza in the set we ordered that day (₩29,900) was a mix of cream mushroom bacon and Philly cheese barbecue steak. Both pizzas were generously topped.

Pizza first~~ The toppings are really piled on. No wonder it's a great pizza spot in Konkuk Univ.

I agonized over which pizzas to pick, but I think we chose well on both, haha

With so many toppings, you have to lift a slice carefully

Dunk it generously in the garlic dipping sauce and it's heavenly

Pizza kept warm to the last bite by a candle

Another plus: a candle is lit under the pizza so it stays piping hot to the end. The cheese never gets a chance to harden.

Crispy chicken and the best wedge potatoes ever

The chicken in the crispy chicken combo was crunchy outside and tender and juicy inside too.

The potatoes were especially good that day? I don't usually like wedge potatoes, but these were the best wedge potatoes ever. My sister tried them and said the exact same thing, haha

Is Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch worth it for budget pizza and beer?

One set plus three draft beers came to under ₩40,000, so the satisfaction for the price was high. It's a good fit when you want a casual pizza-and-beer night in Konkuk Univ. with an outdoor-seating feel before it gets colder.

I also ordered a soft drink along the way, and they brought it with a cup of ice like this. The owner is a class act. These days, anywhere you go, one snack and a few beers gets pricey fast, but here the satisfaction for the price was really high. The ₩1,900 draft beer was colder than I expected, and the pizza toppings and chicken portions were solid too, so I left happily patting my full belly, haha

I think it's perfect when you want a light pizza-and-beer night with an outdoor-seating feel before it gets colder. If you're looking for a no-pressure place for a drink around Konkuk Univ., it's worth a stop!
