Today I visited Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch, a well-known spot near Konkuk Univ. Station. The Pizza E Michida Gyodae branch was reportedly chosen by Naver as one of Seoul's top 10 pizza restaurants, and then this Konkuk branch newly opened in August 2026. A top-10 Seoul pizza place? That made me even more curious, so I went. The awning in bold colors catches your eye from far away.

Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch is open every day from 16:00 until 02:00 the next day, year-round, at 34 Achasan-ro 29-gil, 1st floor, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. It is 230 m from Exit 1 of Konkuk Univ. Station (Lines 2 and 7). Parking isn't available, so you'll need to use the paid Hanareum private parking lot.

What I ordered at Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch was a half-and-half pizza of arugula garlic shrimp + Philly cheese BBQ steak, honey plain dipping cream cheese, and whole squid karaage with two sauces. I only ordered two things, but it came out very generously.

Can you see the amount of that whole squid karaage? It's properly fried, and it came with a salad and sauce alongside the squid. The pizza came half and half, so all that's left is to dig in happily.

You can order the pizza half and half, so each of us picked the pizza we wanted and shared it nicely. The pizza is on the large side and the price is low, so the amount is plenty for a meal or as a drinking snack.

When you want this and that, half and half is just perfect. You get to eat two kinds without any disagreement with your companion, which might be the best part. The Philly cheese BBQ steak, loaded with meat, was hearty, and the arugula garlic shrimp, with ingredients added without holding back, was generous too.

Honey plain dipping cream cheese that made the crust worth finishing

At Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch you can choose a dipping sauce for the pizza crust, and I picked the honey plain dipping cream cheese. After eating a slice, sometimes I actually skip the crust end, you know? This sauce was so good. The combination of honey and cream cheese really went well together. I was able to finish even the very end of the crust.

Honestly, there aren't many places where you can eat whole squid with pizza. It was my first time, and it matched the pizza surprisingly well. Just those two orders were delicious and filling. I wanted a drink, but I had to drive afterward, so we had cola instead. Next time I want to come back and have it as a drinking snack.
