Why I chose the 비티냐 matte-black MagSafe stand

Lately, I’ve had so much filming and work to do that I’ve been using my phone a lot more! That means there are so many times when I need to prop up my iPhone, and I really started to feel that I needed a stand! So today’s product is the 비티냐 360° MagSafe stand! I’m using it very happily and am really satisfied with it.

Before, it was inconvenient having to keep holding my iPhone whenever I watched videos or was on a call, but having a stand is definitely comfortable and nice! In particular, I’m even more satisfied with the matte-black version I chose this time because everything from the design to the finish is so clean!

The first thing I thought when I opened the box was, “It’s really pretty.” The matte-black metal feels much weightier and more subdued than a glossy finish, with almost no light reflection, and it looks sophisticated wherever I put it.

Does it wobble on a desk?

There is a non-slip silicone pad on the bottom, so it doesn’t wobble whether I set it on glass, solid wood, or a metal desk. It has a satisfying weight, so the balance stays steady even with an iPhone attached, and it remains secure when I touch the screen.

The matte-black color in particular makes dust less noticeable, and the easy maintenance is a real plus, too.

How convenient is the 360° rotation?

The biggest appeal of this stand is, of course, its 360° rotation. I’ll keep my iPhone 14 Pro upright while browsing social media, then when I want to watch YouTube, I just give it a light turn with my fingertips and that’s it. There’s no need to unlock screen rotation every time I switch to landscape mode; just physically give it a little spin and the angle changes smoothly.

The durability of the rotating joint is especially good. Ordinary stands often loosen up and fail to hold their angle, but this one has just the right balance: it stops firmly and rotates smoothly. Turn it with one hand and it glides around; stop it, and it stays exactly there.

It feels so nice that I find myself spinning it several times for no reason, haha. I mostly use it on my desk to watch videos or join meetings, and beside my bed to watch something before sleeping. It’s also incredibly handy when I cook: putting it on a kitchen shelf lets me freely adjust the angle while watching recipe videos.

MagSafe magnetic attachment and holding power

It attaches using MagSafe magnets. Bring an iPhone close and the magnet snaps it neatly into the center. There’s no tightening process like with a clip-on stand, and nothing gets in the way when connecting a cable, so it looks really clean. The magnetic design also has no unnecessary bulk, making my desk feel much more minimal.

At first, I worried, “Could it tip backward because of the weight?” But it was much sturdier than I expected. Thanks to that, there is almost no wobble even when I touch the screen or scroll by hand.

Before I used this stand, my iPhone felt unstable whether I laid it down or propped it up, so I kept picking it up with my hand. But now my hands are truly free. I set it on my desk to watch videos while drinking coffee, or leave the Notes app open while I work on something else. Even during video calls, I can turn the angle slightly to show my face more naturally, which is much more comfortable.

This stand does not simply move up and down; it also lets me fine-tune even tiny angles. Once I set it, it stays firmly in that exact position, so I loved not having to adjust it over and over.

From the desk to the kitchen: where I used it

• At a café or in the office: to prop up an iPhone and check notifications, schedules, and notes

I use it several times a day, and in every situation I can clearly feel the secure hold and easy angle adjustment. I especially love that the matte-black design blends naturally into any space without standing out.

Because it is matte black, fingerprints and dust do not show up easily, and even if they do, one wipe makes it clean again quickly. The silicone on the base is sturdy too, so I think I’ll be able to use it for a long time. Even after using it for several weeks, there is no wobbling or sense of wear, and it still rotates as smoothly as it did at first.
