Hwanghak-dong salon men's down perm for swirly back hair: Salon de L

Let me recommend a hair salon in Tenzhill Mall. My hair had gotten way too long, so I came for a cut and a down perm, and I left super happy: they did a great job and their hands are fast too. It's Salon de L (살롱드엘) in Hwanghak-dong. I value my time, haha, so a fast salon is a big plus for me~

Salon de L is open daily 10:00–19:00. I had my cut and down perm done by the salon's manager.

What's the atmosphere like at Salon de L?

I liked how clean the salon was. Three people work there, and I went at 6 p.m. when it was quite busy. (I was the last customer.)

A men's cut at Salon de L is ₩22,000 and a women's cut is ₩23,000. There's a 20% first-visit discount going on, so I recommend booking through Naver to get it.

Puffy hair: a heavily thinned cut and down perm for ₩43,000

The men's cut plus down perm at Salon de L cost ₩43,000. My hair tends to puff up and I wanted it calmer, so I asked for a lot of thinning, and the stylist was so skilled that it turned out really nice. Isn't that a totally cheap price?? It's hard to find a salon nearby where you can get your hair done for ₩43,000, haha.

Can a swirly back of the head be tamed too?

Before the cut, the back and sides were really messy. The hair at the back swirls, so it gets untidy quickly, and the manager at Salon de L said it's a hard head of hair to cut.

Since my hair puffs up, a down perm is a must. The stylist lightly cut the sides so it looked even neater, and I'm completely satisfied. It's definitely calmer now, right~~?

This is after the cut only, and I was already happy. Thanks to all the thinning, my hair was much calmer even before the down perm.

A down perm that includes the back of the head

The down perm started right after the cut! Salon de L uses a good down perm product, so I think it'll hold well~ They did not just the sides but the back of my head too.

While I waited for the down perm, they gave me iced tea and snacks, which I enjoyed.

This is the shampoo room. They gave me a scalp massage and washed my hair thoroughly, which was nice.

The finished back and what Salon de L does best

The back is done, nice and neat, haha. I think pushing it back with the sides cut short (sangoh style) looks clean and good. With the before and after shots, the difference is clear.

I think the best thing about Salon de L is how fast their hands are. I was served by the manager, who is skilled and quick, and cut my hair just the way I wanted in no time. They listen well and empathize with what you say, and I think they're the best stylist.
