Why I needed a phone stand for the IP camera screen

Lately, I’ve been using an IP camera to keep an eye on the baby. Whenever the baby is alone in the baby’s room, I keep a phone with the IP camera screen open and switched on. But without a proper stand, I was propping it up here and there or sticking it on top of a Bluetooth speaker. It was so inconvenient that I started looking for a suitable stand.

Because the joints allow three levels of height adjustment, I liked being able to set the height and angle according to the device and what felt comfortable. Each joint rotates 180°, and it can also rotate 360° while holding a device, giving me a clear view from various angles and directions.

Silicone pads and room for charging

There are silicone protective pads on the base and where the device touches the stand, which did a good job of preventing slipping. The device-resting section is not completely closed off, either: there is plenty of space in the middle, so I could charge the device while it was on the stand. All the edges are finished in smooth curves, too, making it safe to use.

Trying it with a 7-inch tablet and a phone

First of all, getting rid of the Bluetooth speaker I barely used makes everything look so much tidier. With the phone raised high enough, it is easier to see, too. Changing just one stand makes the space feel refreshed. I’m glad I made the switch. If it is off to the side and out of view, I can just rotate it; and if I need to move the phone, I can simply pick up the stand and move it. That seems so convenient.
