Gwangalli salmon restaurant: 300g sashimi in 3 rows, Salmon Brothers
In short
Salmon Brothers is a salmon specialty restaurant on the second floor at the Gwangalli Beach intersection in Suyeong, Busan. An order of 300g salmon sashimi arrived as three rows of salmon, eaten as sushi on sushi rice (2,000 won) alongside aglio olio (15,000 won), though the food took about 30 minutes because the restaurant was busy. Hi, this is Yoonseul ˶・֊・˶ Today I finally went to a Gwangalli salmon restaurant I'd wanted to try for a while.
Salmon Brothers location and opening hours
Salmon Brothers is a salmon specialty restaurant on the 2nd floor at 49 Gwangan-ro, Suyeong-gu, Busan, right at the crossroads of Gwangalli Beach. It's open from 17:00 to 01:00 the next day, with last order at 00:00.

That's Salmon Brothers for you. It's right at the Gwangalli Beach crossroads, so you can think of it as being right in the heart of Gwangalli. It's also super close to the beach!

The salmon sushi photo was visible from far away, so it was easy to find.

At the entrance it says "Salmon Brothers."

Salmon Brothers interior and seating
The store is on the 2nd floor, so you go up the stairs. The place is spacious with quite a few tables, and I loved how far apart the tables were. The vibe inside was so good — it seemed perfect for both group gatherings and dates!

This spot is basically a photo zone,, this is a real Gwangalli hotspot
There's bar seating too, so it seems great for solo dining or dates!
Every table has its own lamp, and honestly, isn't the vibe amazing? It'd be great for a blind date, and personally I'd also recommend it as a proposal spot!!
Each seat has a basket, which was nice for holding bags.
I wondered why they weren't bringing water, but there's water and wet wipes ready at the self bar.
What's on the menu at Salmon Brothers?
Salmon Brothers sells not just salmon but also flounder and beef tartare! As a salmon place, they have tons of salmon dishes — salmon sushi, salmon tataki sushi, salmon cheese roll, salmon salad, grilled salmon collar and belly, salmon steak, and more. Besides that there's steamed clams in wine, aglio olio, truffle cream pasta, basil pesto pasta, gambas, cream gambas, caprese, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), mochiri tofu, crispy fish cake, and fruit sherbet.

They're also running a Catch Table review event — show it on your next visit and you get a little extra.

How long is the wait for food at Salmon Brothers?
After a while our order came out, but since there were so many customers it took quite a while,, almost 30 minutes I think,,, but the staff's apology and the amazing look of the food melted away any frustration.
The side dish is out, so let's have a drink~~

Radish pickles are provided as a basic side too!
300g salmon sashimi comes in three rows
At Salmon Brothers, ordering 200g gets you two rows, and 300g gets you three rows. The salmon color looks amazing, right?

It comes with sweet seaweed, radish sprouts, lemon, wasabi, onion, capers, soy sauce, mountain chili, ginger, and pickled radish.

Ordering 200g gets you two rows, but ordering 300g got us three!! If you're a salmon lover, I'd recommend the 300g!

I tried the salmon plain first — no fishy taste at all, and super moist!

To enjoy it properly, we also ordered sushi rice.

We put the salmon on the sushi rice and enjoyed it as salmon sushi — need I even say more!

Salmon belly is love — the fattiness is seriously a work of art!

I also wrapped it up neatly in the sweet seaweed, and the salmon and seaweed went together really well??
Aglio olio for 15,000 won
Salmon Brothers' aglio olio is ₩15,000 and comes topped with arugula, shrimp, and shiitake mushroom.

The aglio olio looked amazing too,, topped with arugula, shrimp, shiitake mushroom, and more!
The oil was generous, so it was super moist and mixed smoothly!
No dryness at all, totally moist, and thanks to a bit of spiciness in the sauce it wasn't greasy at all! Ah, this place is a pasta spot too.

The shrimp was so plump too, great texture! The garlic was also so moist and delicious!!

I was skeptical about the shiitake mushroom in the aglio olio, but it had soaked up so much sauce it was really tasty! Even my boyfriend, who doesn't like shiitake mushroom, said the one in Salmon Brothers' aglio olio was good.

Staff call button and refills
The staff call button had an option that said "Owner comes running" hahaha, I personally found this so cute.

We asked for extra onion and capers and got more! The onion sauce was totally my style.
When I went to pay, there were goods for sale, and next to them a finger punch machine! But the battery on the finger punch machine was running low so if you hit it hard it won't measure the score, just so you know hahaha.
After paying, they gave us stickers and candy. Getting candy too made the whole visit feel perfectly complete!

If you're looking for a salmon restaurant in Gwangalli, I recommend Salmon Brothers ˶・֊・˶
