Osan Segyo shabu shabu with a huge parking lot: Dongchundang
In short
Dongchundang Shabu Shabu Kalguksu Osan Dugok Branch is a shabu shabu and kalguksu (hand-cut noodle) restaurant on Seobu-ro in Osan, Gyeonggi, with a very large private parking lot near Osan Malgeumteo Park. On a friend's recommendation we ordered the two-person beef shabu shabu, piled high with minari (water dropwort) and mushrooms, then ran the full course with a kalguksu noodle add-on and fried rice. With easy parking and clean, light flavours, Dongchundang works well for a family meal in Osan with parents and kids.

Dongchundang in Osan Segyo: the shabu shabu spot a friend picked
My friend came all the way out to Osan for once, and led me to a nearby shabu shabu place, insisting I eat before heading back. She swore up and down that parking was easy and that even two servings of shabu would be plenty.
Spacious parking and easy access to the restaurant.

Dongchundang parking and opening hours in Osan
Located on the 1st floor at 33-18 Seobu-ro, Osan-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, Dongchundang Shabu has a massively spacious parking lot for anyone arriving by car. It's open daily from 10:00 to 21:00, last order at 20:20, with no break time, so you can drop by anytime without worry.
Being near Osan Malgeumteo Park, it's a great spot to bring parents or the whole family with zero parking stress.

A mountain of minari and bright red beef for two
This is an Osan kalguksu spot with a wide-open interior, so you can sit comfortably without feeling cramped while digging into a hearty meal. Once the burner and pot land on the table, a mountain of vibrant green minari (water dropwort) heaped on top grabs your attention instantly.
Underneath the minari sit king oyster and oyster mushrooms packed in tight, promising a deep, refreshing broth.

On a wide plate, thinly sliced beef arrives spread out in a vivid crimson, and you can see the freshness before you even taste it. Watching red beef and gently wilted minari mingle in the bubbling broth is mouthwatering, exactly what you'd expect from a proper Osan shabu shabu specialist.
A rich broth and fried rice finish that made for a perfect course meal.

The full course: shabu shabu, then kalguksu noodles and fried rice
Ordering one shabu shabu at Dongchundang leads you through an Osan kalguksu course: enjoy the vegetables and meat, then add chewy noodles, and finish with fried rice. Taking a sip of the bubbling broth, you get that distinctly rich, deep flavor of vegetable broth simmered with meat — it has an addictive pull that keeps you spooning it up.
Piling crisp blanched minari, springy oyster mushrooms, and thin beef slices together onto your chopsticks fills your mouth with the moisture and savoriness of the vegetables.
Once all the ingredients are scooped out, the fried rice is stir-fried gently, just enough to lightly crisp the bottom of the pot, and it's wonderfully nutty and light — topped with spicy fresh kimchi, it's an absolute winner.

Is Dongchundang a good Osan restaurant for parents and kids?
I'd recommend Dongchundang Shabu above all for a meal with parents where you want to treat them to something hearty and healthy without any parking stress. The fresh minari, mushrooms, and beef are light and clean, not heavily seasoned, so everyone from grandparents to kids can enjoy it without complaint.

If you want a filling, satisfying course of shabu shabu plus kalguksu and fried rice at a good price, I highly recommend visiting Dongchundang Shabu, the go-to Osan shabu shabu restaurant.
