What kind of café is Mellows near Ttukseom Station?

Mellows (멜로우즈) is a cute little ice cream café somewhere between Seongsu Station and Ttukseom Station. I went not long ago, and actually I'd stopped by once before while passing through! The beans are so good.. and it was a lovely spot to rest for a bit at the outdoor seats and eat ice cream.

Mellows menu and what I ordered

Mellows sells a variety of ice cream menus plus a few coffee drinks, and in the evening there's a separate menu just for evenings. If you see an exterior like this, you've come to the right place! I thought it was so neat that they have a separate evening menu, haha.

I visited in broad daylight!! So I ordered ice cream and coffee. An iced americano and a vanilla latte, and for ice cream two flavors, chocolate and peach, haha. I'd heard they use Sangha Farm (상하목장) ice cream! So I ordered with even higher expectations~

Lunchtime seating: indoor and terrace seats

Mellows has seats inside and on the outdoor terrace, but at lunchtime it was full. Everyone had just finished a meal and come for one ice cream each, so the place was packed...!

Still, I managed to grab a terrace seat outside! So I could happily relax for a good while, hahaha. It felt a bit like a European-style bar.. so relaxed and enjoyable that it put me in a good mood, hahaha.

Whiskey and cocktails in the evening

In the evening Mellows also sells things like whiskey and cocktails, and I even spotted a bottle of Balvenie on the floor~ With so much to look at, it's a dessert shop that felt extra interesting!! I'm so curious that I want to come back in the evening and try other menu items too, hahaha.

How do Mellows' chocolate and peach soft serve taste?

Mellows' soft serve has a plump plain ice cream on top, with toppings and fruit matching each menu item packed in underneath. When it came out a little later, the look was just so good.. doesn't this plump ice cream look so delicious..!

I've been hooked lately on the plain soft serve from McDonald's or Lotteria! So I was really, really happy to find that kind of ice cream at Mellows! And how about all those toppings and fruit underneath! It was seriously such a generous portion, wasn't it?

• Peach: big chunks of peach and peach syrup packed underneath, sweet and refreshing with juice bursting out
• Chocolate: loaded with chocolate syrup, a bit like eating a sundae, and chips and nuts underneath made it so nice to munch on, hahaha

How are Mellows' coffee and decaf beans?

The coffee beans at Mellows were really delicious too. I ordered decaf, and I've never seen decaf beans this good anywhere, so I'm definitely coming back!

The iced americano especially was only 2.5 (₩2,500, as written in the original).. good value and a good size, so next time I want to come to Mellows, get takeout and head to Seoulsup! Since it's on the way to Seoulsup, it looked perfect to have one here, or take it to go and stroll slowly~

Since the basic ingredients are so good! Even though I was full, I kept eating.. hahaha. The chocolate is seriously the kicker.. I'm hungry enough that I want another one already, hahaha.

Would I go back to Mellows near Ttukseom Station?

The atmosphere was great and the owner was kind, so I could stay happily at this Ttukseom Station café, Mellows! I was satisfied enough that I want to go again and try the other menu items, haha.
