I had errands near Magok Station today, so I finally stopped by Tteudon Magok Branch (뜨돈 마곡점), a place I'd wanted to try for ages. It's famous for being recommended by the mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang, so my expectations were high, and the meal turned out even better than I hoped.

Tteudon Magok Branch has a clean, comfortable interior and even a small kids' room (play area), so it works well with children. On one side of the restaurant there's also an unlimited self-bar with free ice cream, bread, soup and tteokbokki.

The moment I walked in, the clean, pleasant interior caught my eye. It's good for a date, and also for coming with family or kids.

One of the biggest pluses here is that there's a small kids' room (play area).
And the jackpot was the unlimited self-bar on one side of the restaurant! Ice cream, bread, soup and tteokbokki are all free.

Getting such a generous free appetizer and dessert spread at a pork cutlet place is honestly the best service.
Tteudon Magok Branch menu and prices
Tteudon Magok Branch has more than pork cutlet, with rice bowls and noodles too, and most dishes cost around ₩10,000. This time we ordered four: the Tteudon pork cutlet (₩12,900), Tteudon spicy pork rice bowl (₩10,900), carbonara (₩10,900) and fish cake udon (₩9,900).

Sitting down and looking over the menu, I found a huge variety, not just pork cutlet but rice bowls and noodles too, so choosing was half the fun.
The four dishes we ordered
- Tteudon pork cutlet: ₩12,900
- Tteudon spicy pork rice bowl (jeyuk deopbap): ₩10,900
- Carbonara: ₩10,900
- Fish cake udon: ₩9,900
There are plenty of other easy-on-the-wallet options around ₩10,000, like the Tteudon old-style pork cutlet (₩10,900) and cold buckwheat noodles (panmemil, ₩8,900), so the value is excellent.
How does the food at Tteudon Magok Branch taste?
I warmed up my appetite with tteokbokki and soup from the self-bar, then dug into the four mains, and everything from the free self-bar items to the mains was delicious. The Tteudon pork cutlet stood out for its thickness, tender meat and special sauce.

While I was happily munching on tasty tteokbokki and smooth soup from the self-bar, the main dishes arrived. Even the basic unlimited self-bar items were great, all delicious.

Carbonara
The carbonara at Tteudon Magok Branch is generously loaded with bacon and broccoli, and the rich, thick, savory sauce clung to the noodles. It tasted as good as a pasta specialty restaurant.

Fish cake udon
The fish cake udon is apparently made with assorted fish cakes and a secret broth. The broth was clean and mild, and it came with plenty of springy fish cakes, perfect for warming up your stomach.

Tteudon spicy pork rice bowl
The Tteudon spicy pork rice bowl is said to be made with pork shoulder and sun-dried chili paste (gochujang). A smoky wok flavor and a pleasant heat lingered in my mouth, and alternating it with the pork cutlet, it was the top helper for wiping out any greasiness.

Tteudon pork cutlet
The Tteudon pork cutlet is Tteudon's signature cutlet, apparently made with top-grade pork loin. Maybe because it uses Jeju clean pork, it was nice and thick with tender meat.

The special sauce you can only get at Tteudon Magok Branch goes perfectly with the crispy coating.

After the meal, I grabbed ice cream and bread from the self-bar for a sweet dessert, a perfect finish.
Tteudon Magok Branch verdict: who should go?
I was happy with Tteudon Magok Branch as a place near Magok Station where you can enjoy a generous, varied meal at a good price. With a play room too, I'd recommend it for family meals with kids or lunch gatherings with friends.

The mains are excellent, and the free self-bar with tteokbokki, soup, bread and ice cream is the perfect extra.

Plus, with a kids' facility (play room), it's a recommended spot for family meals with children or lunch with friends. Now I see why Tzuyang raved about it. Recommended: Tteudon Magok Branch!
