Three plates and Abazzio Pinot Grigio at Euljiro3-ga restaurant Pyu
In short
Pyu Euljiro is a Western restaurant near Euljiro 3-ga Station, on the 1st floor of Tower 107 at 27 Mareunnae-ro in Jung-gu, Seoul. Booked through Naver Reservation, a dinner for two at Pyu Euljiro covered three plates — bisque pasta, garden tomato risotto and yuzu chicken thigh — with a bottle of Abazzio Pinot Grigio white wine, and the light seasoning on all three made the pairing easy. The interior is pretty enough that Pyu Euljiro comes to mind straight away as a blind-date spot.

Where is Pyu Euljiro, and can you book a table?
Pyu Euljiro is a Western restaurant on the 1st floor of 27 Mareunnae-ro, Jung-gu, inside Tower 107. It's open daily from 11:00 to 21:00, and reservations are available through Naver Reservation.

There seem to be so many good places popping up in Euljiro these days. My friend and I decided to grab dinner there again after a while, and while looking around for options I ended up at Pyu Euljiro! The name already had that classic Euljiro vibe going on, so I was curious, and once I actually visited, both the food and the atmosphere ended up winning me over overall.

Is Pyu Euljiro good for a blind date? The interior
The interior at Pyu Euljiro was pretty enough to instantly come to mind as a blind date spot. It was just so pretty inside... I thought any blind date here would definitely go well. If I ever go on one again, I'm coming straight here.

Since I'd made a Naver Reservation ahead of time, our seats were all ready when we arrived. Squee, so exciting.

The three plates and the wine we ordered at Pyu Euljiro
That day at Pyu Euljiro we ordered bisque pasta, garden tomato risotto, yuzu chicken thigh, and a white wine, Abazzio Pinot Grigio. Good food just can't go without wine, right~

Abazzio Pinot Grigio, the white wine at Pyu Euljiro
We ordered this white wine wanting something light! The acidity was just right, so it was pleasant to drink. Overall on the lighter side.
Being a white wine, it paired easily with the food without feeling heavy, and everything we ordered that day happened to go well with wine, so it was nice to have a sip alongside each bite. I'm honestly not that knowledgeable about wine, haha, I'm not the type to memorize every name and grape variety — I'm satisfied as long as it tastes good with the food. And of course, that day I was very satisfied.

Bisque pasta: lightly seasoned, with no fishy taste
First out was the bisque pasta! It's a dish with that rich, deep flavor of shrimp or shellfish, so I'd personally been looking forward to it. The sauce itself was pretty rich, so it blended really well with the noodles, and the moment I took a bite I thought, 'Oh? This is good?'

With this kind of pasta especially, if the sauce is too heavy or salty you can get sick of it fast, but the seasoning was mild and just right! No fishy taste at all, so I really enjoyed it.

Garden tomato risotto with fresh mozzarella and grilled eggplant
Then there was the garden tomato risotto, which I personally enjoyed quite a lot that day. Tomato risotto can easily taste like something you've had a hundred times before, but the soft risotto and the tomato's acidity worked together so well that it was tastier than I expected.

The fresh mozzarella on top added a savory note, and with grilled eggplant and tomato layered on as well, it gave the dish a more varied texture to chew through.

Yuzu chicken thigh: the bright plate among the richer ones
And for our main, the yuzu chicken thigh. Chicken thigh is a dish that's hard to mess up anyway, but with yuzu added, it felt way fresher than expected. The meat was tender and easy to eat, and the bright citrus scent of yuzu made it nice to eat in between the richer pasta and risotto.

The skin was crispy and the meat inside was tender. I found myself thinking, 'Wow, this is actually really good!' Eaten together with the vegetables on the side, you could taste the savory, tender, and bright flavors all at once.

Is Pyu Euljiro worth it for a dinner in Euljiro?
From the bisque pasta to the garden tomato risotto to the yuzu chicken thigh, each dish had a slightly different character, which made for a nice variety, and pairing them with wine made it feel like a proper dinner.
Euljiro has so many good-vibe places tucked into its alleys, so instead of just eating and leaving, it's nice to wander around a bit before or after, and it works well as a dinner meeting spot too. That day, after eating something so good, I felt so happy I ended up walking another loop around Euljiro, haha. Eating good food really is the greatest happiness ♡
It had been a while since I wanted a proper, atmospheric dinner out, and ordering several dishes with wine at Pyu Euljiro made for a pretty satisfying meal! I think this is a place I'll think of again the next time I plan a dinner in Euljiro.
