Today's outing was to Seongsu-dong, lalala~ where to go? I ended up heading to bd Burger Seongsu, the place I'd turned back from last time because the wait was just too long.
I wanted to book through Catch Table or Naver Reservations, but this place isn't on Catch Table, and Naver Reservations only takes group bookings — so it's a must-wait-in-line kind of spot. To try the lunch set, I rushed over like my eyebrows were on fire!
Where is bd Burger Seongsu? Second floor on Yeonmujang-gil
bd Burger is located on the 2nd floor. If you search 'bd Burger Seongsu,' the business name comes up as 'bd Burger Seongsu Station Yeonmujang-gil Lunch & Dinner.' Why is it so long? Haha.
With over ten thousand reviews, I figured even with a wait it was worth trusting and trying — up we go!

On the way up, there was a poster of the food looking so delicious~ I don't remember seeing this last time — there's a weekday lunch set! This is exactly what we came for!

The moment we walked in — jackpot! We were number 1 in line. Last time the wait seemed to be over five, so we just left because of the humid weather, but this time we got so lucky +_+

bd Burger is a great lunch spot so the line gets insanely long. If you're getting takeout, though, it's basically a fast pass — you walk right in, order at the kiosk on the right, wait a bit, and pick it up. Watching takeout customers while I waited, it looked like most got their food within about 10 minutes.
The restroom at bd Burger Seongsu is downstairs — you take the key and go down the stairs.
Self-serve bar and Wi-Fi at bd Burger Seongsu
This place has a self-serve bar and a return station. At the self-serve bar you can grab water, cups, wet wipes, tissues, straws, knives, forks, and so on, and if you order a soda you get one free refill.
Finally we sat down! The table next to us was reserved, and three people sat there.

Nice aesthetic window — I thought, I'd love to coat my windows like that at home — then I snapped back to reality and placed our order. We went all out with ₩50,000 worth! Haha.

The bd Burger Seongsu milkshake is the real standout
Not long after ordering, the drinks came out first. Wow!!! If you love milkshakes, you have to try the milkshake at bd Burger — I highly, highly recommend it!
There's this subtle powdered-milk flavor, and the sweet milkshake is so delicious. This place is famous as a burger restaurant, but for me it's a milkshake restaurant! Haha. It's the kind of taste that makes you want to get one more to go! In reality I was too full, so I just imagined it instead.

When that alert pops up, you go pick it up. Since it was lunch hour, the order took a bit, but the second I saw the food I felt like the wait was totally worth it. Haha.

Best of the three burgers: the bd Wasabi Shrimp
bd Wasabi Shrimp Burger — bd's signature, freshly reimagined with a smoothed-out wasabi sauce, shrimp, and cheonggyeoja (Korean green mustard).
This!! Number 1 for me! I tried three burgers and this was by far the tastiest. In the cross-section photo, the green mustard is truly the killer touch. That slightly bitter flavor lingers in your mouth and cleans your palate right up! So even after a heavy burger, my mouth felt refreshed. I get why it's bd's signature.
Cheongyang Mayo Bulgogi Burger: how spicy is it?
Cheongyang Mayo Bulgogi Burger — a sweet double-patty beef burger where cheongyang mayo and bulgogi sauce blend nicely.
These bd burgers are too big to fit in one bite, haha, so we cut this one too for sharing. The amount of onion looks like it might blow your nose off, but it really doesn't — all the spiciness is gone, leaving just sweetness that pairs well with the burger. This one's for people who love a well-charred patty.
Double Cheese Burger with the lunch set
Double Cheese Burger — a thick, hearty double cheese and patty combo with a juicy beef burger.
We cut this one in half to share too. If you're into a heavy, filling burger, this is probably the one you'd pick. Since bd Burger's patties overall come out well-charred, anyone who likes that crispy, bulgogi-like grilled texture will love it.
Sides compared: fried mushrooms vs fried eggplant
This is the fried mushroom side dish. Slice it in half and mushroom juice comes out. Wow — since it was fried but the mushroom inside was so fresh, something oozed out and I thought, is that oil? But looking closely, it was mushroom juice. Wow!
And here's the fried eggplant! If you want something different from fries, ordering the fried mushroom or fried eggplant is a good idea. If I had to pick just one, it'd be the fried mushroom!
When you want something clean and light, just pop some corn salad in your mouth.
Is bd Burger Seongsu good for a date? My honest verdict
Personally, I don't think this is a great date spot. No matter how wide I opened my mouth, the burger just wouldn't fit in one bite, so we ended up cutting it, haha.
We arrived at 12:30 and left around 1:30, and the line just kept going the whole time. We pushed through the wait and ate well — thanks for the meal!
