Korean pub near Sadang Station for a wedding invite meetup: Sisibibi
In short
Sisibibi is a Korean-style gastropub on the second floor of an alley building near Sadang Station Exit 8 in Dongjak, Seoul. Three friends met at Sisibibi to hand out wedding invitations and ordered beef tripe and brisket motsunabe (₩31,000), a sweet shrimp and barley doenjang raw fish salad set (₩45,000), chili eggplant fritters with crispy rice (₩23,000) and Bingtanbok bokbunja berry liquor (₩12,000). The sweet shrimp raw fish salad set, which also came with yellowtail, was the favorite. If you want a Sadang meetup spot where you can actually talk, rather than a typical barbecue joint or chain bar, Sisibibi is a solid choice.

Why we picked Sisibibi in Sadang for a wedding invite meetup
Sisibibi is a Korean-style cooking pub near Sadang Station, and I chose it for a wedding invitation meetup with my closest friends because of the seafood dishes and the pub vibe. I agonized over where to go, and while looking for somewhere easy for everyone to reach in Sadang, seafood plus a pub atmosphere looked so good that I booked right away and went!!!

Drinks!
What the three of us ordered at Sisibibi
There were three of us, so we ordered three dishes plus Bingtanbok (bokbunja, Korean black raspberry liquor) at Sisibibi 🍾

Basic starter snacks

Beef tripe and brisket motsunabe (hot pot) ₩31,000
Sisibibi's Korean beef tripe and brisket motsunabe is ₩31,000, and with the tripe and brisket in it the broth was rich and excellent. As a warm soup dish, it also suited eating in between rounds of drinks.
The nutty flavor of the tripe and the clean taste of the brisket come together, so it was a great dish for three people to share!

Sweet shrimp and barley doenjang raw fish set ₩45,000
Sisibibi's sweet shrimp and barley doenjang raw fish set (hoemuchim) is ₩45,000, and it was my favorite of everything we ordered that day! The sweet, springy texture of the shrimp went so well with the barley doenjang raw fish salad.
Above all, I love raw fish, and amberjack came out with it that day, which made me really happy 🐟 Eating the sweet shrimp together with the salad also made it a perfect drinking snack!

*slurp*

Chili nurungji eggplant fritters ₩23,000
Sisibibi's Chinese-style chili nurungji eggplant fritters are ₩23,000: crisp fried eggplant with a Chinese-style chili sauce. They even gave a generous amount of cilantro, so for cilantro lovers this was so delicious ⭐️

Bingtanbok bokbunja liquor ₩12,000
The Bingtanbok we ordered with the dishes at Sisibibi is ₩12,000, sweet and clean, easy to sip along with the food. Since this was a wedding invitation meetup, if you want a drink that goes comfortably with food rather than something too heavy, it's a good choice!
And we got the 30% review discount too, nicely done

How is Sisibibi as a meetup spot near Sadang Station?
The seafood at Sisibibi is incredibly fresh, and with boiled pork, hot pots and fried dishes there's a lot of variety, so it's easy to share dishes when you come with several people. The atmosphere isn't too loud either, so it was nice to chat over a drink.
If you want somewhere special near Sadang Station instead of the usual barbecue place or franchise pub, I recommend it >_< Thank you to my friends who came to my wedding invite meetup!
