On the Rail interior and bakery display

As soon as I parked and walked into the café, the high ceilings and warm sunlight pouring through the floor-to-ceiling windows, along with the sentimental interior design, made the indoor space feel really nice too. The tables were spaced out generously and the seating came in various forms, so it looked great for couple dates as well as families visiting with kids.

On the Rail, the outdoor café in Paju, is a bakery café, so it sells a variety of breads that go well with coffee or drinks. Cute Anpanman cookies, train sand cookies, and slice pound cakes are also charmingly displayed for the kids.

The counter was full of delicious-looking breads, from golden-baked mont blanc and salt bread to garlic sticks and croque.

Even though I'd had a full lunch, there's always room for dessert, right? There were so many tasty-looking breads that I got hungry the moment I saw them.

Photos of the kids at the cute bear photo zone turned out so well!
Forest garden and train-track photo zone at On the Rail

The real highlight of On the Rail is the outdoor space! Step outside the café and there's a wide, forest-garden-like area with lush trees, grass, and parasol tables that give off resort vibes. Sitting on the outdoor terrace on a nice day, sipping coffee with the breeze — that alone feels like healing!

And true to the name 'On the Rail,' there's a great photo zone featuring train tracks, a classic white jeep, and a vintage sign, all put together.

The weather was so nice on the day I visited that every photo came out like a life shot! Even just snapping casually, everything turned out great — I took so many photos with the kids here. Take lots and lots of photos while you're there.
What we ordered at On the Rail

We ordered an iced Americano, a hot Americano, a peach smoothie the kids picked, a choco latte, and mont blanc and salt bread to go with the drinks.
How were the peach smoothie, chocolate latte, mont blanc and salt bread?

The peach smoothie the kids picked! One sip and the rich sweetness and tartness of peach spread throughout my mouth — refreshing and easy to drink. A perfect summer drink.

The Americano was cool and clean, with a nutty bean flavor that goes well with sweet bread!

The iced choco latte wasn't overly sweet or heavy — the nutty milk and deep chocolate flavor blended well together. Great to get for the kids.

The salty, mild salt bread was a textbook example of crispy outside, soft inside, and it disappeared quickly alongside the drinks. I wanted another one but held back, haha.

I usually love mont blanc, and this one had a sweet, crispy coating on the outside — cutting into it revealed layers of pastry still visibly intact, moist and delicious.

There's a microwave and oven, so you can warm up your bakery items.
