Why I chose an automatic wash over self-washing on a hot day

It feels like the car gets dirty so fast these days, maybe because of the heat. After getting caught in rain once, it picked up dust and grime everywhere, so I figured it was time for a wash.

Doing it myself would take forever, and I didn't have the confidence to wash outside in this heat, so this time I tried an easy automatic car wash instead.

The place I visited was Autostay Anseong Seokjeong.

It's about as easy to use as the automatic car wash at a gas station, so even though it was my first visit, it was more convenient than I expected.

How does the soft-touch ticket work?

This time I used the soft-touch wash ticket at Autostay Anseong Seokjeong. It felt similar to using an automatic car wash at a gas station — I just pulled the car in and followed the instructions, so it wasn't difficult at all.

Since I wasn't washing it myself and just waited in the car while the wash happened, it was definitely convenient. Especially on a hot day like this, finishing quickly with an automatic wash felt way better than moving around a self-wash bay for tens of minutes. Watching the dust and grime get rinsed off the car was oddly satisfying.

Usually I put off washing the car even when it's a bit dirty, but since it's this easy, I think I'll start washing it more often before it gets too grimy.

Cleaning the car right after the wash

At Autostay Anseong Seokjeong, you don't have to leave right after the automatic wash — you can clean the car too. After the wash, I used the air gun and vacuum to tidy up the inside as well.

Since I ride with my kid a lot, the inside of the car tends to collect a lot of dust and little bits of debris, so having a vacuum available was great.

It's not just the exterior wash and done — tidying up the interior afterward too made the whole car feel much cleaner overall.

Drying off the water with a free towel

After the wash, I also wiped off the remaining water on the car myself. The towels were free to use too, so I didn't have to bring my own.

Wiping down the leftover water with the towel after the wash made a noticeable difference. I personally liked this part too — the car looked much cleaner than if I'd just stopped after the automatic wash.

Who is Autostay Anseong Seokjeong good for?

Having tried it myself, Autostay Anseong Seokjeong was good for managing a car without spending a lot of time. It seems especially well suited to people like me who find self-washing a hassle but also don't want to leave the car dirty.

It's as easy to use as a gas station automatic wash, and afterward you can tidy up the interior with the air gun and vacuum and wipe off the exterior water with a free towel — great for sorting out the whole car in one visit.

I only went in the first place because the car had gotten too dirty, but once it was done, the car was clean and it put me in a good mood too.

On days when you don't want to wash the car yourself in the heat, or when you're short on time and want to manage your car quickly, an automatic wash is definitely convenient.
