What kind of café is Standard Square in Songdo?

Standard Square is a long-established café in Incheon's Songdo that everyone in the know already loves for its coffee. Songdo has so many cafés with a nice atmosphere, but only a handful that are truly great for coffee~ and I went back to Standard Square again 💙 The atmosphere, the coffee and the desserts are all top-notch, so let me introduce it :)

Where do you park at Standard Square?

Park in the underground car park of Songdo Prugio World Mark Complex 1. The café is on the big main road, so it's not hard to find, haha.

Interior and seating at Standard Square

The café feels clean and stylish, with an all-white interior~ It's modern with no fuss, so I recommend it if you like neat, clean-looking cafés!

It's also a really bright café that gets a lot of sun, haha. So if you sit by the window during the day, it might get a little hot 😅 But our son wanted to sit there, so we did, and the brightness was actually nice, haha.

The back seats are cooler on hot days

I think the back used to be the roasting room, and it's been turned into café space with lots of tables and chairs! It feels a bit cooler there, haha. On hot days, I'd grab a seat back there! It's a good spot for coming alone to read with a coffee, chatting with friends, or going on a date :)

Coffee menu at Standard Square and what we ordered

Standard Square has always been famous in Songdo for delicious coffee~ If you want a really good coffee, just head to Standard Square, haha.

They have as many as 6 signature coffees, so they clearly take coffee development seriously, haha, and there's a wide variety. This day we ordered an iced Americano and a grapefruit ade :)

Standard Square is also a great spot for cookies in Songdo, hehe. That day I wanted something matcha, so I picked the matcha macadamia cookie!

How does the Standard Blend iced Americano taste?

The iced Americano at Standard Square uses the Standard Blend, a medium-dark roast with the flavor and aroma of dried plum, roasted almond, caramel, dark chocolate and brown sugar!

My husband took one big sip of the iced Americano and kept saying, wow, this coffee is really good, hahahahaha. It's truly a place with great coffee. Elsewhere, iced Americanos don't have much aroma, but at Standard Square a good bean aroma wafts up like drip coffee, and it's not too thin, so it's really delicious!

If you don't drink coffee, try the grapefruit ade

The grapefruit ade was our son's pick! It has just the right grapefruit tang and sweetness, no artificial taste, and it's loaded with grapefruit pulp, so you really taste fresh grapefruit, haha. If you don't drink coffee, the grapefruit ade is a good choice. Especially as the weather gets hotter these days, an ade would be so cool and refreshing!

Which cookie should you get at Standard Square?

If you can't decide among the many cookies at Standard Square, I wholeheartedly recommend the matcha macadamia cookie! When I tried another cookie last time (I can't remember the name 🙄) I didn't find it very tasty, but the matcha macadamia cookie was seriously delicious!!

It's packed with crisply baked macadamia nuts, with the sweetness of white chocolate here and there, and the lovely matcha aroma and that pleasantly bitter matcha taste go so, so well together 😍
