Why walk all the way to a café at Gosan Station after a Samseong baseball game?

After watching a Samseong Lions game at Lions Park, we skipped Suseongalpasiti Station, walked one more stop to Gosan Station, and came back to Aroke Daegu Sigi Branch. My boyfriend's company gave him Samseong baseball tickets last weekend, so we went to the game.

We meant to hop on the subway right after the game... but you all know how popular Samseong is, right? So we said, "Let's just walk one more stop," and walked from Suseongalpasiti Station to Gosan Station. It was hot, so we decided to take a break, and ended up at Aroke Daegu Sigi Branch near Gosan Station again.

Where do you park at Aroke Daegu Sigi Branch?

You can park in front of the shop, and when it's full, the vacant-lot car park next to Peter House is free to use. We came on foot this time, but it's a Gosan Station café where you don't need to worry much about parking if you drive.

The drinks include coffee, non-coffee, ades, frappés and teas, so it was easy to choose. I remembered the cold brew honey latte I had before and ordered it again, and my boyfriend picked the peach iced tea.

The bakery had a really wide range of baked goods: salt bread (soft buttery rolls), pies, kouign-amann, financiers, cookies and more. I needed a sugar recharge, so I checked out the breads too, and with the lineup renewal this time, they've added pastries as well.

The two baked goods picked at Aroke

As a true financier lover, I agonized over which one to pick and finally went with the Dubai financier, which I hadn't had in a while, and the other was the almond croissant. I'd actually had the almond croissant before and remembered it being good, so I grabbed it again. Haha.

Peach iced tea with yellow peach pieces

How do the peach iced tea and Dubai financier taste?

True to its name, the peach iced tea has yellow peach in it, so it was extra fresh and sweet. You can even chew the peach pieces, so the texture was great too! Good good.

The Dubai financier was also packed full of kadayif (shredded phyllo pastry) inside, and I was very satisfied. I was exhausted from the walk, and it felt like my blood sugar got a big boost~

Thanks to walking one more stop to avoid the crowds after the game (?), I revisited Aroke Daegu Sigi Branch for the first time in a while. Resting in a spacious, comfortable space with tasty drinks and bakery items made it a satisfying break.
