Raccoon Pizza Mapo Station branch: pizza and chicken near Mapo Station
Raccoon Pizza Mapo Station branch (라쿤피자 마포역점) is a pizza place near Mapo Station where you can order pizza and chicken together. It was a holiday weekend and I met up with a friend, so I headed over to Mapo for the first time in a while. You can walk between the office towers and see the Han River, so I used to go there often, and this time I went back.

I ended up at Raccoon Pizza while looking for good pizza in Mapo. I like pizza in general, so I searched for good places near Mapo Station, the reviews were nice, and I went to see for myself. I had pizza last week too, and here I am again this week.

To get to the conclusion first: Raccoon Pizza Mapo Station branch is well made from the dough to the toppings, and it was a satisfying meal.

What I picked on the ordering monitor
Ordering on the monitor at Raccoon Pizza is super easy. I wanted chicken too, so I came to Raccoon Pizza, where you can get both. Here's what I ordered 🩷
- Regular corn pizza + crust upgrade
- Half chicken + ranch sauce
- Cola
- Fries

Getting to Raccoon Pizza Mapo Station branch and the atmosphere
The shop is an easy walk from Exit 1 of Mapo Station, so access was good, and it was simple to find. The atmosphere is cozy yet casual, great for visiting with a friend and it seemed like it would suit a date too. Above all, the smell of freshly baked pizza makes you hungry the moment you walk in.
The interior also has a lot of red, which I thought would stimulate the appetite.

Here's a cute corner of the wall.

How does the corn pizza with cheese crust taste?
The pizza came out first. I got the regular corn pizza with the cheese crust upgrade. It arrived piping hot, and the first thing I noticed was the generous toppings. It felt like they didn't skimp on ingredients, which was satisfying just to look at, and when I picked up a slice, the cheese stretched out long and looked really tempting.

Dough that's neither too thick nor too thin
You can feel how plump the corn kernels are. Taking a bite, the dough impressed me most. It's neither too thick nor too thin, with a crisp outside and moist inside, so I could enjoy it all the way to the crust's end.
The dough's own nutty flavor comes through and goes well with the toppings, and even after a while it didn't turn chewy, so I enjoyed it down to the last slice. The cheese crust is plump and packed full.
Toppings that aren't salty or too greasy
The toppings felt fresh too. The cheese was nutty and rich, and the sauce wasn't overpowering, letting the ingredients' own flavor shine. The saltiness isn't excessive, so it's the kind you keep reaching for, and easy to eat without feeling heavy. Pizza can sometimes get greasy, but Raccoon Pizza has a good overall balance, so that feeling was less.

Half chicken, fries and sauces including condensed milk
I was fetching sauces, and then the chicken arrived.

The fries came out too. Fries with chicken and pizza are the golden rule, right? I like that Raccoon Pizza Mapo Station branch has lots of sides to go with your meal. There's condensed milk among the sauces too. And above all, the warm texture of freshly baked pizza and the flavor of the cheese stayed in my memory for a long time.

Personally, if you're wondering about pizza near Mapo Station, I think Raccoon Pizza Mapo Station branch is worth a visit at least once. I especially recommend it to people who like pizza that sticks to the basics and lets you taste fresh ingredients, rather than flashy, intense flavors.
