Layered C-curl perm for wavy hair at Nabideu Hair, a Sejong hair salon

Today I'm bringing you a review of Nabideu Hair (나비드헤어), my recommendation for a hair salon in Boram-dong, Sejong.

Where is Nabideu Hair, and is there parking?

Nabideu Hair is a hair salon on the 2nd floor of Winner Star Tower in Boram-dong, Sejong, and the building offers free parking. I hear it's a Boram-dong salon with skilled designers who have won the grand prize in the beauty category of the Korea Brand Media Evaluation.

If you come by public transport 🚌, get off at the Sejong City Hall, City Council, Office of Education and Tax Office stop. If you drive, parking in the building is free, so it's easy to visit any time.

Inside Nabideu Hair

On the 2nd floor of Winner Star Tower, get out of the elevator, turn left and keep walking straight in, and you'll find Nabideu Hair.

Since Nabideu Hair runs by reservation only, the space isn't big, but it's decorated with all sorts of small props and has a lovely atmosphere.

Seeing such a tastefully decorated salon, I felt the designer must have a good eye, and that I could trust her with my hair.

The interior feels clean overall, so I was comfortable the whole time I was there.

How does the layered C-curl perm + head spa go?

Before the treatment at Nabideu Hair, I filled out a record card and my basic hair condition was checked. I talked with the designer about the style I wanted and what kind of care would suit me.

A cut to tidy up the messy layers first

First, to tidy up the messy layers left over from before, we started with a cut.

This is my hair shaken dry with no styling at all, a total mess. My hair is usually dry and frizzy and a bit wavy, so the curls go wherever they like, and styling has always been hard.

We boldly reduced the layers to tidy things up, then moved to a seat by the window in the warm sunlight,

and the layered C-curl perm began in earnest!

Coffee and snacks while waiting for the perm

The owner-designer also set out some snacks for me. I'd heard Nabideu Hair is famous for its coffee, and the rumor is true!!! I gulped down a cold, nutty iced Americano.

Probiotics, collagen, sweet honey too... I can't even imagine how much she wanted to take care of me. 100% touched.

A head spa while rinsing out the perm solution

While rinsing out the perm solution, the owner-designer also gave me a head spa for scalp care. It felt like it opened up the pores in my scalp and washed all the buildup right away.

Wavy, frizzy mid-length hair: what did the layered C-curl perm look like?

After a long wait, the layered C-curl perm was done! My hair had hit an awkward in-between length and nothing I did to style it worked, but Nabideu Hair revived it into hair that looks great even when I just shake it dry.

The style turned out to be a perfect match for my hair type, face shape and everyday styling.
