Jamsilsaenae BBQ buffet, brisket and scallion ramyeon: Muhan Paldo

Hunting down good restaurants around Jamsilsaenae is honestly my favorite hobby these days, and this time I visited Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae Branch (무한팔도대패 잠실새내점), an all-you-can-eat shaved meat place. If you're looking for somewhere near Saenae Station where you can stuff yourself on a budget, stick with this post to the end.

Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae: location and opening hours

The restaurant is at 57 Baekjegobun-ro 7-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul (Jamsil-dong), 1st floor, Unit 102, near Exit 3 of Saenae Station, so it's under a 5-minute walk. It's open 11:00–24:00 (last order 23:00), every day of the year.

It's a big restaurant with lots of large tables, so I think it would suit group gatherings and company dinners too!

How much is Muhan Paldo Daepae, and what's unlimited?

At Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae Branch, it's ₩18,900 per adult for unlimited refills of 6 kinds of shaved meat, plus unlimited ramyeon, fried rice and bibimbap! This price-to-value setup is exactly why it stands out on my list of Jamsilsaenae restaurants.

I went on a weekday evening and, sure enough, the place was packed! Typical Jamsil hotspot!!

6 kinds of shaved meat that never get boring

Muhan Paldo Daepae has 6 kinds in total: shaved pork belly, shaved pork neck, kkotsamgyeop (flower-cut pork belly), frozen pork belly, Handon (Korean pork) shaved pork, and shaved beef brisket. Plenty of buffets keep serving just one or two kinds of meat, but here the variety means you don't get tired of it.

With more than three pork belly options, it's fun to choose by thickness or cut to your taste, and I also liked that there's beef brisket too, so you can alternate between pork and beef! You know you have to grill the onions and zucchini, right? They were sweet and so good!

Self-serve lettuce wraps, plus kimchi and bean sprouts grilled on the pan

At the self-serve bar, you can take as much lettuce and perilla leaves as you like. The wraps were fresh too, which I loved~ Wrap it up nice and snug and eat!

I grilled kimchi, bean sprouts and garlic on the pan and ate them with the shaved meat, and it was so good!

There's a wide choice of sauces too, so it's easy to pair them however you like.

Cook-your-own Han River-style ramyeon, a surprisingly fun extra

My personal favorite at Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae Branch was the ramyeon corner where you cook instant noodles yourself on the spot, Han River ramyeon style. After filling up on meat for a while, dropping noodles into the machine and watching them bubble away was a lot of fun.

There are several kinds of ramyeon to pick from that day, and I especially loved having it with beef brisket and shredded scallion salad. It's a flavor you already know, but the combination works even better, so I really enjoyed it!

And the finale has to be fried rice, right? Haha

Who is Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae best for?

₩3,000 beer and soju, ₩5,900 unlimited soju

At Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae Branch, beer and soju are ₩3,000, and unlimited soju is ₩5,900! Doesn't it feel like nobody sells beer for ₩3,000 these days? You order drinks and beverages by tablet and then fetch them yourself! For drinkers, this place is probably heaven haha

You can enjoy plenty of different shaved meats without worrying about the price, and even finish by boiling Han River ramyeon, so this is a place I'd definitely come back to. If you're looking for a good-value all-you-can-eat spot near Saenae Station, it's worth stopping by at least once.

At the end I even had a cup of heotgae tea (hovenia tea)! I was so, so satisfied haha
