Today I visited Juno Hair Dongtan Solbitnaru Branch. It had been 6 months since my last hair appointment and my hair had grown out a lot, so I figured it was time for a perm. I came from Dongtan Station, and I think it took about 20 minutes by bus. I finally had a good chance to visit Juno Hair for the very first time.

Why I chose Juno Hair

When you say Juno Hair, the founder is who pops into my head. As far as I know, he started with the Ewha Womans University first branch and built a hair salon franchise, a real success story. His confident, proud presence left an impression on me.

Why did I pick a build perm again?

A build perm is the easiest perm for me to manage and it lasts the longest, so I went with it again this time. If you can't decide on a style, the Naver Style Book is a good reference.

This was my hair before the treatment. The perm had almost completely dropped and my hair had grown long, so I figured I needed a cut too. I usually do my hair every 6 months, and to make it last longer I tend to get a stronger perm and cut my hair shorter.

The whole floor is one salon, and it's laid out really spaciously, like a café.. It definitely had that big-chain salon feel. I think it's the biggest one I've ever been to.

Designer consultation and the treatment process

It was nice to be able to comfortably ask my designer everything I'd been wondering about. The designer went through what style I wanted one by one, listened to my opinion, and made the style I wanted. And they even gave me a scalp massage during the shampoo, which was seriously the best~

First I found a few photos to show what treatment I wanted, and then the work started right away. I asked lots of questions about my hair condition and how thick it is, and they explained kindly. They said frequent hair packs keep hair condition in good shape, so I'm going to buy one and take care of it. Hair condition matters because when it's good, the perm doesn't drop as easily. I could feel my hair was healthy.

Build perm and CS perm: time taken and result

The cut plus build perm and CS perm took about 3 hours. After taking the rods out and blow-drying, it came out exactly the style I wanted. With the cutting, applying the solution and the heat, I expected 3 hours, and that's how long it took. Honestly, the key question is how long this hairstyle lasts, so I'll take good care of it and see.

My plan to make the perm last
