I went to my beloved neighborhood, Anguk! The trees have turned slightly golden and it's so beautiful...💛✨ While looking for a good restaurant to enjoy this view, I visited Le Cochon, a well-known spot in Anguk!
Where is Le Cochon? Anguk Station location and hours
Le Cochon is located on the 3rd floor of the Arario Museum, a short walk up from Exit 3 of Anguk Station, at 83 Yulgok-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul. It's open daily from 12:00 to 22:00, with break time on weekdays from 15:00 to 18:00 and weekends from 15:00 to 17:30. Reservations are needed via Naver or Catch Table.

Le Cochon parking: the building has its own parking lot! You have to pay for parking and the space isn't huge, so it might be more comfortable not to drive!

All the cafés and restaurants in this building have great views and great food...🌿 That day I even spotted actress Kim Min-hee on the 1st floor...🧐 Le Cochon is on the 3rd floor! I hurried up the stairs, only to find out later there's an elevator..😏

Window seats with full-height views: why booking is essential
Inside, Le Cochon has a central shared table and two-person window seats. So pretty! With the wide floor-to-ceiling windows, there's no better way to feel the season — the location and floor are truly great...✨

The view is so pretty...☺️ Le Cochon operates on a reservation basis, so be sure to book ahead! Even on a weekday lunch it was fully booked, so without a reservation you basically can't get a window seat ㅠㅠ If you're a walk-in, definitely call ahead to check for open seats!

Le Cochon course prices and the ₩59,000 lunch course
Le Cochon, a well-known French fine dining restaurant in Anguk, runs three course menus priced at ₩59,000 / ₩98,000 / ₩145,000! Of these, the simplest ₩59,000 course is only available at lunch! Personally, I'd recommend lunch if you want to enjoy this lush greenery while eating!💚

They write the reservation name and place it at each seat! Isn't this what hospitality is...✨ The manager was also super kind! With such a lovely space plus kindness, my heart feels full too!

Three amuse-bouches to start
The starter amuse-bouches came out✨ The manager explained the food well from the start all through the course!

It's a sweet corn popcorn herring roe olive oil soup, creamy without being greasy — exactly right!!!

Under the shrimp there's even a biscuit, so refreshing and tasty... The brioche jambon cream tomato pickle is soft and buttery...✨ All three were so good, it surprised me!!

Lyonnaise salad and the bread course
Next up, the salad! A Lyonnaise-style salad with mixed leafy greens, jambon, and mashed egg mixed together! The seasoning was nicely salty🌿 I finished it all up

The pre-meal bread came out warm and it was so delicious... Soft and with a strong butter aroma, it was the best bread I've had ever💓

Main course: lamb rack cooked medium rare
For the main, I chose the lamb rack! Cooked to the recommended medium rare — let me admire the visuals first-

So pretty...💛💚 They said it's French lamb coated with chopped herbs and grilled! Alongside it, spinach, carrot purée, and blackcurrant sauce — cooked just right and tender enough to melt in! If you don't like meat that's too red, I'd recommend asking for it more well done!

Dessert, rooibos tea and coffee
Ta-da- After finishing the main and patting my full belly, they brought out dessert🍨 What a generous course...🫶🏻

For the after-meal drink, you can choose rooibos tea or coffee, and both are served hot! No iced option!
Finally, savor the view slowly-

So good🌿💚✨ Thanks to this, I had a great date in Anguk! Everyone there seemed to be having a good day too!
Le Cochon, a well-known Jongno restaurant — if you're looking for affordable French dining or an anniversary spot in Anguk! Highly recommend! ✨
