Gwangalli Aussie brunch café for couples: flat white at Famous Benny
In short
Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is an Australian-style brunch café in Millak-dong, Suyeong, Busan. A couple ordered The Famous Benny (₩18,000), an acai bowl (₩9,000) and a ham and cheese toast (₩9,000) with a long black and a flat white; the flat white was the best the writer has ever had, though the ham and cheese toast was a little light on filling. Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is a great date spot for Australian-style coffee and brunch by a sunlit window.

I heard you can get Australian-style brunch in Gwangalli, so I rushed right over. My girlfriend and I love hunting down good brunch spots together, and this time we picked a café that's hot in Gwangalli right now. Maybe because it's newly opened, the interior was clean and stylish, and we headed to Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch with butterflies in our stomachs.
Where is Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch, and what are its hours?
Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is at 64 Millakbondong-ro 11beon-gil, Suyeong-gu, Busan, and it's open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with last order at 5 p.m. If you walk from Gwangalli Beach toward the Millak Raw Fish Center, you'll spot the stylish building.
The café uses both the first and second floors, so it's bigger than I expected, and the natural light in each space was so pretty that it was great for photos. Last order is fairly early, so it's perfect for a relaxed breakfast or lunch.

How is the parking at Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch?
There's no dedicated parking lot. The nearby Millak Sea Land Market public parking lot or the Taeyang Oneroom parking lot works fine, so bringing a car wasn't a worry.

What did we order? Menu and prices
It was a feast of fresh, crunchy flavors popping in your mouth. We wanted to try a bit of everything, so we ordered the signature The Famous Benny (₩18,000), an acai bowl (₩9,000) and a ham and cheese toast (₩9,000).

How do the Australian-style long black and flat white taste?
For drinks we chose the long black and the flat white, both Australian-style. The long black tasted like a familiar americano, and the flat white was the best I've ever had.

The Famous Benny
First, The Famous Benny: a sauce with a faint, fresh lemon aroma, cheese, soft egg and a crispy croissant came together beautifully.

Acai bowl
The crumbly texture of the homemade granola was a real work of art, and the blueberries bursting in my mouth were so refreshing that the heat just melted away.

Ham and cheese toast: what was disappointing?
The ham and cheese toast was grilled very crisp on the outside, which gave it a great texture, but honestly the filling seemed a little skimpy, and that was a bit disappointing. Still, the bread itself is so good and the basics so solid that it all came together deliciously.

I told my girlfriend, like a know-it-all, that in Australia an americano is called a long black, saying I'd seen it on YouTube, and she was genuinely amazed.

Atmosphere of Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch and what to know before you go
Even on a weekday morning there were a lot of foreign guests, and the place had a relaxed, traveling-abroad feel. The atmosphere was so good that it really felt like a trip overseas. Sitting at a window seat with pretty natural light and sipping a flat white, the coffee was so deep that I wanted to fly off to Australia right then.

The stylish interior made it a lovely spot for a cozy date with my girlfriend in Millak-dong, and the delicious food lifted my mood. We just went for a light brunch, but the high-quality dishes made us feel properly treated, and it was a comfortable place where I wanted to stay for a long time.

Next time I'm near Gwangalli, I'll definitely come back and conquer the other toast dishes I didn't get to try today. That brunch in the morning sunshine was so memorable that I still think about it, so I hope you'll stop by too.

Who would enjoy Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch?
- Anyone on a Gwangalli trip who wants Australian-style brunch in a great atmosphere
- Couples with a healthy appetite who love a crisp, fresh acai bowl
- Anyone who wants to relax and take beautiful photos in a pretty café with natural light

The space was so pretty that I wanted to capture the moment, and the food was clean and neat, so it was perfect as a date spot. We ate really well, and we'll be back when we're in Gwangalli. (Based on a 2026 visit)
