Why did I use fast track for a dawn arrival?
On my first trip to Nha Trang, I used the arrival fast track at Cam Ranh Airport. I remembered immigration taking nearly an hour on a previous trip to Da Nang, so this time I wanted to cut down the wait.
How did I receive instructions after booking?
It was my first time using fast track, so the process felt unfamiliar, but as soon as I bought Vmong Shop’s service for two on Naver, I was contacted on KakaoTalk. At first, I wondered whether it was necessary to spend extra money, but I was satisfied after using it.
After I sent my companion’s English name as well, I received confirmation through KakaoTalk. They also sent detailed instructions for using fast track on arrival.
What was it like meeting the staff member and entering at Cam Ranh Airport?
We arrived before dawn on December 31, and as soon as I turned off airplane mode, a KakaoTalk message came through. At the airport, a staff member was waiting with a sign bearing my name.
I thought there might not be many people because it was so early, but the immigration line was long. After meeting the staff member, I went to the right as directed, and it moved so quickly that it felt as though I was through in one minute. Finishing immigration early meant I could head straight downstairs to baggage claim.
Do you leave the airport right away after clearing immigration quickly?
This time, we checked both suitcases, so I still waited quite a while for our luggage after immigration. I had come down early, and the bags came out late too. Even with fast track getting me through immigration quickly, the checked-baggage wait remained.
Still, waiting at baggage claim felt more relaxing than standing in the immigration line. I could use the restroom and then sit in a chair while waiting for the bags to come out.
I thought I could have moved even faster if I had brought only carry-on luggage. Next time, I want to try fast track with just a small suitcase.
After collecting our luggage, we took Grab to our accommodation and went straight to rest.
What kinds of travel companions could this help?
What I liked most was not having to stand and wait for a long time, and being able to sit and rest after clearing immigration. Thinking back on the experience, I think it could also help when traveling with older adults or children.
