Sindang zodiac cocktail bar with Rabbit, Sheep, Dog drinks: Ju Sindang

I visited Ju Sindang (주신당), a famous spot in Sindang! It's not an ordinary cocktail bar: it sells cocktails with a Chinese zodiac concept. We ordered three different ones, the Rabbit, the Sheep and the Dog, and tried them all haha!

From the atmosphere to the cocktails, it felt totally different from the bars I usually go to. For anyone looking for a bar near Sindang Station, let me start the Ju Sindang story right now~~

Is Ju Sindang easy to find from Sindang Station?

Ju Sindang is on the 1st floor at 411 Toegye-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul, close to Sindang Station. Being near the station makes it easy to find, and it's a good location for a second round after dinner in Sindang!

Above all, the concept itself is different from a typical bar, so it's a great place to visit when you want to go somewhere special.

Ju Sindang's exterior and dark Eastern-style interior

Instead of a flashy sign, Ju Sindang has an exterior that mixes a Korean feel with a touch of mystery, so you sense something unusual even from outside haha. The sign isn't showy like a typical cocktail bar, so at first you might wonder, "Is this the right place?"

But I think this unusual exterior is part of its charm! Once you open the door, it feels different again from what you saw outside. Dim lighting, Eastern-style interior, props placed all around: they're clearly serious about the concept. It felt less like a place just to drink and more like somewhere that's fun to look around?! I can see why it's a popular spot for an unusual date in Sindang haha

Ju Sindang menu: signature zodiac cocktails

The most famous thing at Ju Sindang is the signature cocktails themed on the 12 zodiac animals! There are cocktails that play on the traits of each animal, such as the Rat, Ox and Tiger, so even browsing the menu is fun.

You could order by your own zodiac sign, or order different animals with friends and compare, which sounds fun too haha. That day we ordered the Rabbit, Sheep and Dog cocktails!

Since these aren't the familiar cocktail names I usually drink, I was even more curious what they'd taste like. Each cocktail has a different look and concept too, so even the wait after ordering was exciting!

At Ju Sindang, every seat has a jagae (mother-of-pearl) box, and inside it are cracker snacks!! lol Every single detail was amazing haha

Ju Sindang Rabbit cocktail: the garnish is a rabbit's liver

The first one I'll introduce is the Ju Sindang Rabbit cocktail! I was amazed that they name cocktails after animals to fit the zodiac concept haha. Even when you go out for cocktails, a place with such a clear theme isn't common, right? With the concept built into every menu item, it felt like a different experience from just having a drink.

With the Rabbit cocktail, it was fun to sip while checking what ingredients go in and how it tastes. Ordering different cocktails with my friends meant we had fun peeking at each other's drinks too! And each cocktail has its own story. For the Rabbit cocktail, the thing on top is said to be the liver haha. The famous rabbit's liver, of course!!

Ju Sindang Sheep cocktail: all about the wool topping

Next is the Ju Sindang Sheep cocktail!! After the Rabbit, this time I tried the Sheep. With each animal given its own name like this, browsing the menu is definitely fun.

It felt different from the cocktails I usually drink, so if you're looking for a slightly special bar in Sindang, it's worth a visit at least once. Especially with friends: you can each order a different cocktail, compare how they look, and talk about the taste while you hang out haha

The highlight of the Sheep cocktail is the wool on the very top, I think lol That's the kind of detail that makes looking at each one fun!

Ju Sindang Dog cocktail and verdict on all three drinks

The last one I tried was the Ju Sindang Dog cocktail! I had three kinds, Rabbit, Sheep and Dog, and being able to pick zodiac-themed cocktails one by one is definitely Ju Sindang's own charm.

At a cocktail bar you usually choose from familiar menu items, but at Ju Sindang the menu itself is special, so even choosing feels different. It's a good place for a date near Sindang Station, or when you want a drink with friends somewhere with a great atmosphere!

Ju Sindang impressed me with a concept unlike an ordinary bar. The zodiac signature cocktails make choosing fun, and the Eastern-style interior adds up to a special time.
