Angry Potato Songdo Branch is a newly opened popup store on basement level 1 of Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo (송현아), at 123 Songdo-gukjedae-ro, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, South Korea. It's open daily from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, and there's free parking in the building.

It's only just opened but it's already famous as a Songdo outlet must-eat spot! When a good restaurant opens in Songdo, a Songdo resident like me simply can't skip it haha. Straight there I went!!

Is there seating at Angry Potato in Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo?

Angry Potato Songdo Branch is a popup right in front of the food court on basement level 1, so there's no dedicated seating. Instead, you can eat at the rest areas scattered throughout the outlet.

It's a great pick when you get hungry while shopping and want something nearby. Given the menu, it's also perfect for taking to a park or eating at home.

How much does the Angry Potato sauce bar cost?

At the Angry Potato Songdo Branch free sauce bar, you buy a sauce cup — ₩500 for one, ₩1,000 for three — then fill it with as much sauce and as many flavors as you like. There are 7 sauces to choose from, so the options are pretty wide!

The price feels quite reasonable too.

Deep Squad Party Pack (₩37,000): does it stay warm for takeout?

The Deep Squad Party Pack is ₩37,000, and it kept its heat well the whole ride home as takeout. I thought about eating at the outlet, but eating at home is always most comfortable, so I grabbed it to go and rushed home haha. I was a little worried it would go cold on the way, but the thorough packaging took care of that.

The Deep Squad Party Pack is packed so full the box looks like it might burst! The biggest box holds chili cheese sticks, French fries, hot crunch chicken and chewy potato skewers. Another box has the mini burger skewers, and the mac and cheese plus two sauces come separately.

Fries made from fresh potatoes

Unlike typical fast food places that fry frozen fries, Angry Potato says they cut 100% fresh potatoes in-store and fry them right when you order. Fries are best eaten hot, so I dug straight in, dipping into sauce as I went.

Crispy outside, soft inside — you could taste the care that went into them, which somehow made them taste even better.

Chewy potato skewers: eat them hot or let them cool?

The chewy potato skewers (쫀득감자꼬치) in the Deep Squad Party Pack have two charms: crispy if eaten right away, and irresistibly chewy if you let them cool a bit. A totally different appeal from the fries.

That rice-cake-like chewy texture was totally my thing!!! The inside was so chewy and delicious.

Chili cheese sticks with ranch sauce

The chili cheese sticks are a popular menu item made with 100% natural whole mozzarella cheese, fried up — but they're only sold in a limited quantity, so if you go late they might be sold out ㅠㅠ Chili cheese sticks were huge for a while, and I'd really wanted to try this MZ-generation menu item — finally!! An explosion of crispiness and savory flavor.

The cheese stretches out so long~~ You might think all that cheese would be too heavy, but the outside is nicely salty and the sauce has a slight kick, so you can eat a whole one without getting sick of it.

You really have to dip the chili cheese sticks generously in the ranch sauce for double the flavor — definitely try the chili + ranch combo.

Three mini burger skewers

The Angry Potato mini burgers come in three types on brioche buns — beef, chicken, and shrimp patties — so I got to enjoy a nice variety of different burgers. Small, but packed with substance from the bun to the filling!

You could really taste the savory flavor of the brioche bun, and the care put into the menu made it all the more satisfying.

Large hot crunch fried chicken

The chicken in the Deep Squad Party Pack is huge — the ultimate in fullness! It's seasoned salty with a slight kick, so kids would probably enjoy it too.

Verdict on Angry Potato Songdo Branch

The Deep Squad Party Pack from Angry Potato Songdo Branch was satisfying — a varied, generous spread where every single item was delicious. There's a reason it's quickly becoming a must-eat at the Songdo outlet.

I'm one happy person now that a truly good restaurant has opened in Songdo haha. This is definitely a taste worth getting again as takeout next time I'm at the outlet — if you're visiting Hyundai Outlet Songdo on the weekend, be sure to stop by. Especially the chewy potato — I genuinely, highly recommend it… 👍
