Gyewondang Ingye Branch turned out to be a cutlet restaurant that works for dates and for eating alone. I went with one other person and had the couple mother-of-pearl tray set, and we left happy with the mood and the generous portions.
Honestly, before visiting I thought, "Aren't all cutlet places pretty much the same?" But the mood is great for a date, and the food was so hearty that I left satisfied!

The inside of Gyewondang Ingye Branch is quite a bit bigger than expected, with a clear retro concept. There are seats good for sitting alone and tables good for friends.
The interior is quite spacious, more than I expected. The concept is clear too, so I think it works well for a date~
It has a retro vibe with a feel of an old-fashioned tailor shop (yangjangjeom), and it was also cozy like grandma's house.

Gyewondang specializes in handmade cutlets made from chicken thigh, so the chicken cutlet wasn't dry at all and was really tender. Sirloin comes along too, so you can share according to your taste.

The spicy sauce that came with it was fine even for me, a total spice wimp, and the creamy sauce was exactly my taste.

The butter curry at Gyewondang Ingye Branch has a strong butter aroma yet isn't heavy, so it pairs really well with the chicken cutlet. Side dishes like dried radish (mu malraengi) and cubed radish kimchi (kkakdugi) came along with a soup.

The curry itself isn't too heavy and goes down smoothly... I finished a whole bowl of rice in no time! On top of the curry, they also gave us a soup, so we left really full and satisfied haha
Side: buckwheat rolls
The buckwheat rolls (memil jeonbyeong) served on the side were good too. When you keep eating curry and cutlet, sometimes you need a slightly different taste, and they were perfect for that.
The variety made eating fun, and overall it felt like having a properly laid-out meal.
