Side dishes and the free rice noodle soup

And Ssosam 208's secret weapon!! They serve rice noodle soup for free haha. It had a cool kimchi-based broth with rice noodles and the taste was addictive. (You can get one refill☆)

How does Ssosam 208 cook its stone-grill meat?
We ordered the medium mixed stone-grill platter, the erupting lava cheese fondue and two portions of pork skin~!! Unusually, Ssosam 208 cooks the meat on a stone plate, and the staff grill it for you.

It says that grilling on this stone plate brings the temperature up above 200 degrees. The staff member measured it with a thermometer before grilling the meat, which made me trust it even more.

There are also tips on how to eat it best, so have a look~~ The staff grill the meat deliciously for you!

Kimchi and tofu were set on the stone plate too~~ Eating them with the meat made it even tastier.

How does the medium mixed stone-grill platter (500g) taste?
The medium mixed stone-grill platter (500g) at Ssosam 208 has pork belly, pork neck and cheongyeopsal, so you can enjoy several cuts at once. As soon as the meat came out, I could feel how good the quality was, and it was a very satisfying dish!
The meat cooked slowly on the piping hot stone plate, golden and crispy outside while the juices stayed locked in and moist inside!
Each cut had a different texture, which made eating fun: the pork belly was great with its nutty flavor and chewy bite, and the pork neck was charming with its mild taste and tender meat.

Does Ssosam 208's lava cheese fondue go with pork belly?
Ssosam 208's signature lava cheese fondue (₩5,000) has its own dedicated space on the stone plate, so you just dip the cooked pork belly deep into the cheese fondue. So cool and quirky!
It was my first time dipping pork belly in cheese, so it felt new and exciting. Dipped in the hot, rich cheese, it paired really well with the pork belly~~ The nutty richness of the cheese blended with the juices of the pork belly for a full, rich flavor!

The soft, creamy texture of the cheese made a nice contrast with the chewy pork belly, and a salty, nutty flavor filled my mouth! You get a richer, deeper taste, and I loved what a different combination it was♡

When it gets greasy: garlic sauce, wild garlic and scallion salad
I could enjoy Ssosam 208's pork belly in different ways, dipped in garlic sauce or eaten with wild garlic leaves and scallion salad, and they cut the greasiness right away, which I liked.

You can't have pork belly without a lettuce wrap!!

Chewy pork skin at Ssosam 208 as a finishing treat
At Ssosam 208 Suwon Station Branch, we ordered two portions of pork skin (₩8,000 per portion) to finish! Crispy outside and springy inside, it was the kind of dish you keep reaching for haha.
The more you chew, the more the sweet seasoning and nutty flavor come together for an addictive taste~~ It was good dipped in the cheese fondue too!!
