Yakisoba spot at Songdo Triple Street, less salty than Osaka's: Jojo
In short
Jojo Triple Street Branch is a Japanese teppanyaki restaurant serving okonomiyaki and yakisoba on the ground floor of Building C at Songdo Triple Street in Yeonsu, Incheon. Over lunch with a friend, the writer ordered the Signature Set for Two, swapped the spicy karai yakisoba for the basic Jojo yakisoba, and shared it with donpeiyaki (pork and egg omelette) and the signature okonomiyaki. Verdict: Jojo's yakisoba is less salty and less intense than the yakisoba in Osaka, so it suits Korean tastes better.

I went to Songdo for lunch with a friend I hadn't seen in a while, and we stopped by Jojo Triple Street Branch (죠죠) at Triple Street. Jojo serves Japanese food like okonomiyaki (savory cabbage pancake) and yakisoba (stir-fried noodles), and I drop by whenever it pops into my head. Places that sell okonomiyaki or yakisoba are surprisingly rare, so this one is a real treasure, hehe.
Where is Jojo at Songdo Triple Street, and how is parking?
Jojo Triple Street Branch is on the ground floor of Building C, where the Triple Street restaurants cluster, across from Yeokjeon Halmaek. You can use the Triple Street parking, and it connects to Songdo Hyundai Outlet, so it's easy to get to.

The shop is big, so we spotted it right away. Jojo is a Triple Street favorite that also appeared on Culinary Class Wars 2 (흑백요리사2).

Inside Jojo: interior and seating

Jojo is a tidy Japanese-style restaurant through and through! It's spacious and the tables are well spaced, which I loved. Most seats are for two, with some tables for four, and quite a few people were eating solo. There are also high chairs, so it's a good fit for visiting with a baby.
Jojo menu: what we ordered

The menu has à la carte dishes like okonomiyaki, yakisoba, monjayaki (runny griddle batter) and fried rice, plus a variety of sets for two or three! We ordered the Signature Set for Two (Jojo okonomiyaki + karai yakisoba + donpeiyaki). The yakisoba type can be changed.
If you join the receipt review event you get a free drink, and if you visit Naver Place there's also a yakisoba size-up coupon.
A griddle at every seat, sauces on the table

Every seat has its own griddle, and all the dishes are placed right on it, so your food stays warm. On the table there's Jojo's special sauce, mayonnaise and a hot sauce, so just add whatever you like!
What is donpeiyaki?
The first dish out was donpeiyaki, a Japanese pork belly omelet roll.

Inside the rolled egg are pork belly, assorted vegetables and cheese, with plenty of sauce poured on top! It feels like an appetizer, so you can eat it lightly. I'm an egg fanatic, so I enjoyed it a lot.

Jojo yakisoba compared with Osaka's
Jojo yakisoba is made with the house special sauce. The Signature Set for Two normally comes with spicy karai yakisoba, but it can be swapped, so I changed it to the basic Jojo yakisoba! It comes to the griddle in its bowl.

Inside are shrimp, loads of cabbage and even a soft-yolk fried egg! I had yakisoba on a trip to Osaka, and this is tastier than what I ate there! If the local yakisoba felt too intense and salty, Jojo's is less intense and less salty, so it actually feels suited to Korean tastes.
How is Jojo's signature okonomiyaki?
And my favorite, Jojo's signature okonomiyaki, has shrimp, squid, beef and pork all in it.

Okonomiyaki is one of my favorite dishes, and I often buy meal kits to make it at home! Jojo's has plenty of cabbage, squid and meat, and the special Jojo sauce adds even more flavor. It sits on the griddle, so you can keep eating it warm, hehe.
Why I recommend Jojo for lunch at Songdo Triple Street
Okonomiyaki and yakisoba are great drinking snacks, but they also make a wonderful meal! Jojo in Songdo is clean, the staff are friendly, and there are à la carte dishes too, so it's easy to enjoy without pressure. If you're looking for a restaurant at Triple Street, I recommend Jojo Triple Street Branch.
