Seomyeon Korean BBQ: partitioned table for two, barley ssamjang, Anmin
In short
Anmin Busan is a Korean BBQ restaurant near Exits 8 and 12 of Seomyeon Station in Busan, where staff grill the meat for you. After booking by phone, the writer sat at a partitioned table for two and ordered the assorted fresh pork special cuts (360g) and the whole-cut fresh pork neck (130g); a staff member stayed at the table to grill the pork, moved it onto a mini brazier to keep it warm and explained the sauce pairings. With taste, service and space all satisfying, Anmin Busan is a Seomyeon BBQ spot worth a definite return visit.

People are always searching for good Seomyeon Station spots for drinks, or places where staff grill the meat for you. Seomyeon has all kinds of BBQ restaurants, but there aren't as many as you'd think that grill for you and have a great atmosphere too. That's why Anmin Busan, the Seomyeon Station spot I visited this time, scored so high with me.
Where is Anmin Busan, and what are the hours?
Anmin Busan is a 2–3 minute walk from Seomyeon Station Exit 8 or 12, toward the old NC Department Store. It's open Mon–Thu 16:00–24:00 and Fri–Sun 12:00–24:00. Groups are welcome, corkage is allowed, and there are birthday perks, high chairs and a waiting area.
The place is so big that it really stands out.

Inside, there's a proper waiting area at the entrance, which felt very considerate toward guests.

There's also Catch Table (a reservation and waitlist app), so waiting looks comfortable.
Seating and atmosphere: partitioned tables for two to group seats
Anmin Busan is a clean, upscale Seomyeon BBQ restaurant with tables for 2, tables for 4 and even group seating. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the sleek, tidy interior!
Every seat has a partition, so you feel nicely separated from other tables. That let me focus on the meal, and talking was easy too.
There are seats for group gatherings, so I thought it would be great for anyone looking for a Busan gathering or company dinner spot. Groups were actually there on reservations. It also feels private, like a Seomyeon room dinner.

The meat is on open display, which made me trust the quality even more.
Booking by phone and sitting at the table for two
We booked by phone and were shown to a table for two. The grilling spot is up high, so it was less hot, and the seat itself made us feel treated well!

Each table even has a power outlet and beer/soju buttons, another thoughtful touch!

Anmin Busan menu and what we paid
We ordered the assorted fresh pork special cuts (360g) for ₩36,000, a fresh thick pork neck (130g) for ₩13,000 and a creamy draft beer for ₩4,900. Besides grilled dishes, the menu has specialty dishes and side dishes too.
What impressed me most is that besides regular drinks, there's a cocktail menu. Cocktails at a BBQ place sounds like something different!?

Tidy side dishes and cabbage geotjeori
After we ordered, the side dishes came out first, and they were really neatly done.

You can feel the care in each one, and I was surprised by how many kinds of sauces there were.

The cabbage geotjeori (fresh, lightly seasoned salad) was really good too. The sweet and sour taste went well with the meat and I kept reaching for it. Even in small things like this you feel the care for guests, and I could see why it's become a word-of-mouth Busan BBQ spot.

Staff-grilled meat: how do they do it?
Anmin Busan's biggest strength is that it's a Seomyeon BBQ place where staff grill the meat for you. So there's no worry about messing up the grilling, and you get it at its tastiest!

The meat came out first, and it looked like plenty for two!
The grilling was done with real care. They oil the grill first, then grill, and they cut the meat into bite-sized pieces too! They also didn't walk back and forth; they stayed right at our table and kept grilling, and you could feel the effort.
It was almost done and the smell of the meat made me even hungrier, haha

They put the finished meat on a mini brazier so it wouldn't go cold! I was really touched by this!! It seems small, but as a guest it was so nice to eat warm food to the very end.
Anmin Busan sauces: from pine-flower salt to barley ssamjang
At Anmin Busan, the staff recommended dipping the nakyeopsal (a special cut) in songhwa salt (pine-pollen salt). Eating it as they explained, it was really nutty and flavorful.
They explained the sauces in detail too!
- Shiitake wasabi sauce: Anmin's signature, with the wasabi heat toned down and the shiitake flavor brought out
- Fish soy sauce: made with katsuobushi (bonito flakes), so it goes well with grilled vegetables
- Galchi-sokjeot (salted fish innards): boiled in the kitchen before serving, with the fishy taste reduced and the umami maxed out, they say
- Cheese fondue sauce: made with cheese and fresh cream, popular with kids and women, they say. It has a breadcrumb topping, so you get a crispy texture too
- Housemade barley ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste): you can chew the barley, so the texture was great (personally my favorite!)

How do the thick pork neck and special cuts taste?
The quality of the meat itself was quite good too! It wasn't tough when chewed, it was tender, and it was juicy. The fresh thick pork neck in particular was thick yet moist, and it stuck with me.

The variety of sauces made eating fun, and I liked even more that the staff explained which combinations taste good. So I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy Seomyeon pork belly or various special cuts.

I wrapped up a ssam (lettuce wrap) too and it was heavenly, T_T With both taste and service so satisfying, I totally understood why it's called a top Busan pork belly spot!

Why I want to go back to Anmin Busan
At Anmin Busan, I was happy with everything: the food, the staff's service, the care they put into grilling, and the layout of the space. Honestly, there are so many BBQ places in Seomyeon and Jeonpo. But there's definitely a difference between places that are only tasty and places with good service too.
So personally, it's become a Busan spot I want to visit again. It suits dates, Seomyeon dinners out, friend gatherings, family meals and Busan company dinners alike. If you're looking for a Seomyeon BBQ place right now, or a proper Seomyeon spot that grills for you, it's worth a visit.
Verdict: who I'd recommend it to
Anmin Busan has it all: tasty meat, great service and a clean interior.
- People looking for a Seomyeon Station spot for drinks
- People who need a Seomyeon BBQ recommendation
- People looking for a great Busan pork belly place
Thanks to the staff grilling the meat, we ate comfortably, and the variety of sauces and tidy side dishes were satisfying too. The prices were reasonable, so I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
